Hello,
Some of you might know me from the forums. I suppose I have been here a while now. (that is why I have edited this post)
This is the main tree to my photo library. It has photos of most of the pieces I have and have had. Not everything is in there but there is some good sword porn if you are looking for it. There are a bunch of folders in there so you will have to dig for what you want to find but there are at lease 200-300 swords in there that I have owned and sold or still own.
Anyway, as the title implies, I like projects. Here are some of the highlights of the projects I have had done. Most of them got sold when they were done. I like doing the projects more than keeping them. But I can't let go of my Bamboo Mat.
The Avatar:
This is an Angel Sword Avatar Katana.
I had a new mount made with a Patrick Hasting Tsuba and some nice fittings. The blade also went though a professional polish. It came out quite a bit different than before.
The Barrett 1075: (AKA MAN`TANA)
I got this blade from a friend some years back.
I had the blade polished and mounted. The tsuba was made by Kevin Adams and the fuchi/kashira/menuki were done by Josiah Boomershine.
The Barrett W2:
I can't take any credit for this one. It was a project I got to be a part of but the theme was not something I thought up. I got the blade from Rick Barrett directly. The saya was done with pine needles and mother of pearl. The fuchi/kashira/menuki are antique and the tsuba was a custom piece.
Hanwei Bamboo Mat:
This is my favorite sword. Its my daily user and I love it LOTS.
I opted to have the blade remounted and this is how it turned out. Most of the fittings are from hyper cafe, the tsuba was a custom.
Przemek Katana & Tanto:
I got this piece from Przemek a long time ago.
I also got a tanto somewhere in there and decided to do some fun stuff with it.
Walter Sorrells Wakizashi:
I got this wak in a semi-used state a while back. I decided to have it mounted up in a crazy way.
James Raw Katana:
I got this as a bare blade from a fellow forum mate. I had it mounted with custom fittings in a bamboo theme.
The next ones are projects that I did not do. I got lucky enough to buy them already done and check them out.
The Howard Clark L6:
James Raw:
Kris Cutlery: (done from Frankthebunny)
Pavel Bolf:
Mark Morrow:
I never got to mount this one but it did give me a taste of Mark Morrows work. He does a great job and this would have made a fine cutting blade.
