It is my desire to get as many swords to as many people as possible. refunds will be given to those people who would prefer them (as we are able) we are hoping to avoid refunds in most cases but are trying to be prepared

Tom, you might want to post this on myarmoury, there appeared a question about how can you afford to make a workshop and not have enough money for refunds... It would be good if your voice was heard there... And maybe a clear statement of the timing for refunds, as well as direct apologies to those who they are owed to: myarmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=25577&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=80

Spoke to Gus briefly today, the shop is running again and he has some machine work that needs to be done to pay some bills. Sounds like swords will start to move soon, though as always I caution people not to count chickens before they hatch
Refunds will be given as often and as quickly as we can. previously Gus and I have both drained our savings accounts and reserve cash stashes to pay refunds and have not been able to rebuild them yet. The machine work Gus is doing right now should yield enough spare income that some refunds will happen again. he and I have been talking about which orders we want to refund first. Basically we are going to refund the orders that ar farthest from completion and or the more difficult or costly to do first. This will mean the remaining swords will be the easier stuff to finish and should therefore move faster.
I'll be a very happy man when this is all done I can tell you all that.
The plan we have could have the full list done by this time next year if all goes well maybe sooner but I'm very cautious about optimism in this case.
The big problem we had in the past is that Gus's old landlord made it impossible for him to grind at the old shop. The new shop has no such restrictions and the owners are excited to have Gus there and making swords. They've known him a long time and are probably fans of his work too.
Things are looking up

I know I haven't said a lot publicly but 2015 has actually been a very good year for us.
Early in the year Gus moved to a new shop that doesn't actively impede his ability to make swords and he has been making swords. This year I have delivered more swords from the backlog list than several past years combined.
Right now things are in a lul but are expect to pick back up soon. Steel is in heat treat, close to 50 guards have been made for upcoming swords, and more steel has been ordered so that work can continue. Weather up there is putting a hold on grinding temporarily but we will likely be seeing more swords by very early spring if not sooner.
Gus and I believe that it is possible for the backlog to be 100% cleared by this time next year. We can't promise it but we are trying to make it happen.
You will likely see some swords come available for sale while we are at it.
The way this works is that in order for Gus to keep the shop running he needs to have new money coming in to pay bills with and buy material. The way we have been doing it is that out of every batch Gus makes we divide the batch into owed swords and for sale swords. So every time you see new a ATrims for sale there are old ones going to owed customers. We do not sell any model of sword as new if we owe people that sword. We fill back orders first. This is why no new XIIa.4's have been sold.
We only have I think 3 XIIa.4 back ordered at this time and it has been our best selling sword so that should give you an idea how the list has shrunk. As a quick aside, I have included in my back order list every sword Gus owes anybody even from before I was selling for him so if you are owed a sword from the "pay off the damn machine" sale or even earlier and you think you have been lost track of after Gus had his strokes (this happened to many) you may contact me about this. We have found several people with old orders and taken care of some of them. I think the numbers of these old orders are getting very low at this point and I think we have identified the majority of them. There was a time when the All Saints automatic system failed to deliver any money to Gus even though it was still taking money from customers. If that is the case I'm sorry but we can't help. That will have to be dealt with by the owner of All Saints at that time. Our plate is full enough.
Anyway the hole was deep and dark but friends, we are getting close to being out of it.
Hopefully my saying this does not jinx the works as it has seemed to in the past when I spoke positively in public.

Also as some of you know I have my own personal forge up and running (well walking I guess) and I am slowly producing swords and some of them are good enough to sell. When I put a sword up for sale if you are on my back order list and you would like to use the money you have previously sent to me as credit toward the sword I made I will happily do that and throw in some bonus credit for you as a sort of interest for having had your money so long
This deal may also be available on ATrim swords I sell for Gus I will state if so in the listing.
One way or another we are going to beat the back log

Tom, do you know if Gus is planning to keep making swords after the backlog is cleared?

I've been tracing Mr Trim's ups and downs since the early 2002, when I first registered at the other swordforum - and I must say I am very much relieved seeing this hopefully coming to a good end.
I really admire the man's spirit that made it so far through very unlucky times keeping to his word and work. A rare virtue.
I hope this clears up to be a successful and steadily rolling business - it is well deserved. And looking forward to placing my order on one of these XIIa. Best of luck, gentlemen.

There appear to be some new atrim swords at Kult. Are these from the new shop or back stock?

These are new swords. Back ordered stock doesn't go anywhere but me. see my Dec 2 post. I believe these swords are the tail end of a previous batch.
