Congrats on the purchase! You can absolutely do a review without test cutting. Take lots of pictures, show details and stats, give us pros and cons, and describe your impressions of the piece and why you decided to buy it. You can even stab some stuff and show the aftermath. Sharpness, quality of the fittings, general appearance and historical accuracy.
There's a few ways. Other people on the forums have done it without even doing the cutting aspect of their swords.
