I searched but didn't find anything, so- How is DSA anduril structural integrity? It is threaded so I hesitate using it (sword-on-sword practice, not cutting). Is it strong enough, or better to go with the ranger?

Its a huge, heavy, beast of a sword... I had one some time back. Also... as you mentioned... it is threaded due to the shape of the pommel. I would not use it for sword on sword or any sort of training... its heavy and unwieldy.

The Ranger is definitely better if you want a training sword. It's peened and apparently very solid, chuckinohio managed to break one after several years of whacking it against a tire pell and Eyal replaced it immediately.

This sounds like an overly excellent customer support to me.

It is one of their better stories, but Chuck is a longtime member of the forum, so I have no reason to doubt his account of the matter. It may also have helped that he was a good customer of DSA for some time... since then though their customer service seems to have gone downhill.

My experience with Darksword Armory's customer service has always been very good, like chucks.

I just bought the 12th Century Medieval Sword, and could not be more happy with both the sword and customer service.
I ask a ton of questions and was a general pain leading up to the purchase and was only shown respect and quick answers to all my questions.

I didn't like the white handled 1st gen of Glamdring by them, but I will be purchasing there 2nd gen around February when I can afford it and now that I have just watched the Hobbit darksword-armory.com/products-pa ... /the-sage/

Pay attention to this ^^^^ An absolutely spot on assessment. The weight may be an attribute to one who wants to train overweight, doing slow drills to develop musculature and for forms practice, but there are better choices out there construction wise that will wind up being more durable.
While the Anduril was not as heavy as the old model Ranger, it is still a fair chunk of steel.
The Ranger that I broke was the old model with threaded pommel, and it broke right at the base of the threaded portion of the tang where the pommel exerts the most force on the tang when in use. The Anduril uses a much longer pommel that allows you to exert substantially more force upon it when levering the blade. This leads me to believe that you could bend, and or seperate it in short order if using the Anduril against a target in a determined manner. Couple that fact with the material that the existing examples of the Anduril pommel are made from, some unknown alloy, and there is and will remain to be serious doubts about the Andurils durability in use.

I noticed just the other day that they have updated it, It's definitely on my short list now. They fixed my biggest gripe about the first gen version, which was the narrow ricasso area. It's more flared like the movie version now.
