Yes, very solid Sword, Below Albion, only the Windlass, Marto is beautiful, however only decorative, Windlass is a functional sword, is a real sword! Today Atlanteans functional swords in the market are Albion and Windlass ! |

dam, i can not afford albion/or a custom one made,like fable blade:p if you had to choose for example euhm Marto conan or windlass? wich one would be the best to hang up to the wall next to a movieposter of conan the barbarian héhé

nono,i dont mean i have them both, i mean, i have a poster hanging here from the original conan movie, but if you want to have a set up,for example the poster with a few swords next to it, wich one one you hang up? the one from windlass or marto? Marto is stainless steel i tough?

Yes. Marto is made from stainless steel, but are high end decorative swords, and you could probably swing it around a bit if you wanted to. (Just don't hit anything with it!). They are VERY pretty too. Actually, when I first started looking at swords, I saw one of his swords going for 25,000 dollars. But don't believe anything you see on the internet, because the MSRP on most of them is actually 500.  |

Hey Sandro, glad you like the Atlantean, but before you do any heavy cutting I would read this review( viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7423 ) that was done last year by JoeyDac, there are some photos of the hilt taken apart it is a little disapointing on windlasses part, but worth the read before you start cutting. It did not seem so fragile so I cut some mats with mine and she remains firm, no loose parts, the pommel is not loose, I tried hard to remove, however it is very firm and not loose will is that my a line improved, a new line?

Glad it cuts well Sandro, I've had a Marto version for years that has never been cut with, but it makes a great showpiece, and the reaction from people when they feel the weight is just hilarious.

The Windlass one is definitelly the best affordable Atlantean! It's virtually identical to Marto's, but it's funcional high carbon stell and full tang, not stainless steel and rat-tailed like Marto.

If that's the case, how come the Marto one is more expensive? That's something I've been wondering, is that the price of Marto's stuff is always pretty high for being SS
