Not really a Rush Paul, this is what happens when the forum goes down for a few days.... I start buying stuff.

Manufactured by Kligenthal, Coulaux and Company ( a marking in the 1850ish period bounded by whichever inspectors marks are found on the sword )

Jaw dropping! You're putting together a mighty fine collection.

Nice sabers! I am getting the bug as well. I noticed on the French pipe back I got that it is a stout little sword and fun to play with. The other couple light French swords (not pipe back) seem like children's blades. They seem almost too fragile to be used seriously and more of a dress sword.

Dave,
I have marveled at your collection several times but have somehow neglected to comment. Most likely due to the speechless state in which your collection often leaves me.
Leaf blades, waisted ricassos, balance, clean lines, and green. Oh, the green. I can't begin to express how impressed I am with your collection. Thank you for sharing, and hopefully your posts will inspire my wife to allow a little more latitude when it comes to my future purchases.
I feel like I need to go on to express how impressed I am with your collection and how much I appreciate you sharing it in such great detail. Alas, I will refrain from any further drooling of the keyboard and let your pics speak for themselves. Good on ya, Dave.

Thanks Kris There are so many great sword types out there I feel it would be an injustice to just stick to one sort so my collection moves with what ever appeals to me at the time. I used to show my partner Kelly, Bill Swiger's and Dave Kelly's collections if I ever got " that look" from her .

I read that you showed Brothers Kelley and Swiger's collections to your partner Kelley, and I just wanted you to know that, in addition to their collections, I show yours as well to my wife. She also shakes her head and walks away, but I think it is some small comfort at least to know that I am not the only blade nut out there. Again, cheers!

My search for the perfect sabre continues with this new addition from Empire costumes, Sabre for officier subalterne de chasseur a cheval de la garde. (top one). This next image is a Teaser image of a few new additions, I took a bunch of photos but they all came out like crap so will have to redo them, this is the only clear one.
