This is another one from Albion Europe's sale, it will be my last new purchase for the year. I do have a couple of second hand swords due in soon and hopefully a few custom blades will get here before Christmas, but as with every custom sword I've ever ordered(except Brendan's) they are always delayed so I won't be holding my breath for those.

This is my all time favourite Windlass sword and one of the first swords I owned, Slayer of Kings

This sword has been a maybe on my want list for a few years now, so when it came up for sale I thought what the heck, this one is used though it looks like new and the grip is that perfect Deepblue. Albion Regent Pictured with a Savante and Alhpa Omega for some hollow-ground goodness Here is a shot next to Albion Maximilian with the same coloured grip.

very nice Dave, this would pair very nicely with an Earl What are your thoughts of its handling? And in particular how would you rate it against your Crecy?

The Regent only just arrived Paul so my thoughts are only on dry handling in my study, really need to get out side and swing it about, hopefully this weekend I'll get to cut some stuff up, if not will be next weekend maybe.

Ohhh, bare blades and the potential - those Sampson ones are crackers esp for a man of your sword tastes!

It will be a while before these are completed but I am sure it will be worth the wait, Jody's swords are starting to become very rare with not many showing up on the second hand market, so this seems to be the next best thing to owning the real deal. This is the last of my recent buying spree to arrive, a second hand Albion Knecht with a left handed guard, Initial handling is very good for this big cutter and am looking forward to trying it out on the weekend.

Added a small cutting video of the Longship Morrigan I recently purchased, video is on my Flickr page so here is the link. ( www.flickr.com/photos/86283292@N07/11044036645/ ) Sound does not seem to be working at the moment . This is the first time I have cut with this sword and am very impressed, is easy to handle and cuts well.

Nice cutting Dave, how are you going with cutting with your crecy? I cut a bit with mine last year, walked away knowing I needed to improve my form ; ( this looks to be a much better cutter than the crecy.

Paul I don't cut very often maybe once every month, this means that is hard to use all the swords I want to practice with, as I normally run out of bottles, the Crecy missed out this time as I wanted to try out the Albion Knecht. Here is a video of a few cuts with the Knecht. ( www.flickr.com/photos/86283292@N07/11047780405/) Once again don't know why sound is not working, worked fine on my PC before uploading. Edit thanks for the head up Schwarzbaer.
