Here is a couple of photos of two new toys. Albion Sovereign Albion Sovereign and Ulvbane A look at the grips This photo gives you a better idea of size, the Ulvbane is big enough to be a bastard sword and if you don't mind holding the pommel it can be used two handed Albion Ulvbane and CastleKeep Suontaka with Fable Blades Hand of Tyr

Nice Dave, at this rate you are going to have to build/buy another display cabinet and maybe another room

Thanks Bill and Paul, My study is starting to fill up and once it does, I will have to be very strict on what I buy, might have to sell or giveaway a few oldies to clear some room.

If that happens I'm sure I can convince my wife to take a trip to the barossa valley, with a quick stop at Dave's house

I love this collection! I think Hand of Tyr is my favorite.

That Sovereign is a thing of beauty. I have been lusting after one for a while but they don't come up in the used market often.

Brendan makes some great swords, it is a pleasure to hold and handles beautifully. The first Sovereign that I took note of was Lunaman's he takes such great photos I knew I wanted one, they are very rare to find second hand, so to get a new one for second hand pricing was too much for me, Soren form Albion Europe even thru in combined posting to help sweeten the deal , all I can say is it handles as good as it looks.

Did a small amount of cutting today with the Crecy and the Ulvbane, here is a link to the video of the Ulvbane it is a very big one hander and I was more comfortable using two hands, but will practice some more one handed cuts later, with the Crecy I was just batting stuff around the yard will have to practice some more, as it is great to hold and moves well, just wasn't cutting good today. www.flickr.com/photos/86283292@N07/10488320343/

Think you did well considering I would classify the Ulvbane as a mounted cavalry sword. Read on MA about a guy who said he had to take an extra step to cut 1-handed.

I have had pretty rotten luck cutting with almost every Albion I ever held . They seem to me to be finicky . The Sovereign cuts well for me . Can't wait to try a Principe .
