I just did a quick image search on Bing. No idea where to get one. www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtop ... w=previous This is where that image came from. Looks like it's called an "Extrema Ratio Fulcrum" bayonet. Bing.com purchase shows a few places with prices between $200-$400.

Extrema Ratio, an Italian company with a definite case of the "mall ninjas". I have heard their stuff is well made though. Here's some, don't know if the bayonet is in there. www.knifeworks.com/extremaratioknives.aspx

Nahhh. I mean like an Arisaka bayonet, with a tanto point. Something almost the length of a short wak. It would be half the overall length of the shotgun. Thus, it would accentuate the silliness of the idea.

You clearly want a 4 bladed set up, directly to the pump. Think big X with pointy bits on every end. Intimidating, busy, and if you miss with one you're bound to hit something important with the other 3. Genius, I say! We can call it Tac Xtreme bayonets, for the super serious home stead defender. Bring on the zombies, werewolves, cannibals, or even witches if you're feeling froggy.
(sheaths sold seperately.)

The sheath is an artillery cannon that transforms into Godzilla. It's tactical.

Zen, a bayonet is used when you are out of amo in real combat - you transform your gun into a little spear. I used to attach the bayonet to the gun just for military parade or on the field for close combat training, but never shoot with it attached. Keep the gun free and the knife at your belt, as Sam H said. You really don't want to put stress on your hands adding extra weight if you want accuracy in your shots when you shoot from standing position, or to have your bayonet attached and you are shooting from a prone position when you have the opportunity of a natural support.

Well I finally got my gun yesterday afternoon. I very much like it. My only complaint is that the stock feels a bit too short for my long arms so I'm going to get an extender pad eventually. Otherwise it's fine.
My girlfriends dad took it apart for me and showed me how to clean it etc. I can't believe how simple this guns mechanism is. while he had his cleaning stuff out he decided to clean his Mossberg 500 to show me why he opted against it for me. I can see why, he was at it for an hour and a half, getting really frustrated putting it back together. I tried myself and got pissed as well. I can't understand why they would issue these to the armed forces, the assembly is terrible compared to the 870.
Anyways I was doing loading, cycling practice with some fired shells with the opened crimping cut off and they would not eject properly (not extract, eject. I have read a lot of problems with rounds getting stuck inside the chamber, this was not the issue, the rounds simply failed to "fly out" of the receiver.) However, Gary (girlfriends dad) decided to load it with live rounds and cycle them through to see if the problem persisted, it did not. The un-fired rounds cycled just fine. I'm guessing there is something wrong with how I cut the crimping off that is causing ejection problems.
By the way I was kinda erked by him loading live rounds into my gun inside. He has been dealing with firearms of all sorts his entire life, but I still feel like I wouldn't do this unless I was entering combat. I guess it is not a big deal as he has experience and knows to keep the slide catch lever down instead of pull the trigger between rounds. However I would not do this as I am not familiar with my weapon enough, and would hate to blow a hole in my wall, or worse....
I finally have a bedside gun and had it sitting next to my bed with 5 rounds of 00 buck on the counter next to it. I always am going to keep it locked in it's case, with the ammo locked in my safe separately while I'm not handling it, especially when my 4 year old nephew is over. He knows to not touch my swords because they are dangerous, and he is a very respectful child, but I am not taking any chances with him, because let me tell you when I was a little kid I ALWAYS wanted to look at my grandpas guns when no one was around.
All in all I feel very confident in my ability to be responsible with this weapon. I keep the fundamentals in mind constantly when handling, I always check the chamber and mag tube for any rounds before operating it and I always keep it pointed in a safe direction. I can't wait to go to my friends range at my airsoft field and pattern this gun, not to mention blow some pumpkins, water jugs etc. up.

While there will always be counter arguments 00 is not ideal inside, AA/No.2 Buck has less penetration through walls, standard load with 00 is either 8 or 9 .33 cal pellets, AA/No.2 gives 15-16 pellets @ .27 cal. - at say 7 yards both shells will still pattern at around 8" or so (notice I have not gone metric on you) however if you miss those .33 cal pellets will likely be found in the neighbours lounge.

I feel that if I am using a round because I'm worried about over penetration with another, I will in turn under penetrate.

An oz of shot is an oz of shot on target - it matters little since the "bad dude" will not be wearing body armour, in Hollywood when the good guy yells "Freeze, burger flipper!" that's exactly what happens, in reality people dive out windows, jump sideways and do all manner of things EXCEPT freeze.
So it's not the shot ON target that is the issue, it's the missed target where the shot goes down range.
Quite a few years ago when teaching security in the home we taught people to not run out the door screaming "Help! Help!" simply because the neighbours would peek around their curtains wondering "Should I get involved?" Instead run out the door screaming "Fire! Fire!" you will get an instant crowd because everyone loves a fire and some will even bring the marshmallows.

Lol Aussie, that's a good idea as far as attracting a crowd.
As far as shot penetration goes, take a look at these two videos, and while your at it, check out this guys whole channel. He's hilarious and very informative.

I agree, as stated, different buckshot will suffice as well, and birdshot of course is not ideal, it still does depict what 00 buck will do in comparison to a lighter load. Check out his foster slug videos too. Hell just look at all his videos, especially the ones he does with Hickok45.
I guess look at it this way, you don't have to worry about stray pellets going into unwanted places if you just place your shots correctly and hit him with the whole payload. Military and law enforcement use 00 buck don't they? There's got to be a good reason for that.
