Frank ~
No worries. I've got ninjas on my roof as well...
Seriously though, couple ?s.
Is it a drop ceiling where the tiles are 2'x2' and sit in a metal lattice grid that holds them in place?
Or are they tongue and grooved together without the metal lattice suspending them?

I think this was more gremlins. Little ones. The tiles are like 12" x 12" or so. I like the roof enemies idea. Just a crazy weapon. I'm scared of it. It's huge. Like a sharp chef knife that is 3 feet long. It's already drawn its blood. The wound was so clean it healed in a day. Interesting to learn how to be wary of it. Attachments:

Oh, is that all it is? Man, you should see my ceiling. I don't have the convenience of tiles, either.

A little lightweight spackle should do it for the gouge, the color is another issue.Knife it in and lightly wipe clean the surrounding tile with a damp rag.As for color those tile panels are usually ceiling white( a standard white colorsame with most brands). You should be able to touch it up with a sponge brush.

Thanks randomnobody. Yeah it is not a big one. I'd like pics of that too!
John: Spackle is what I was thinking. I may have some paint around too. Or maybe the spackle looks close enough.

The spackle might be close enough in color, but probably not,its usually more of a antique white in color. But it may be close enough for you.

I've attached a photo I just took. There are more than seen here, but I can only get so many in the lens at a time. I, for one, am going to need a lot of spackle. Bear in mind, these are quite old; I've just been lazy about fixing them. Nevertheless... Attachments:

ROTFLMAO! Looks like you took a sharpened pogo stick ride up there, Random!
I can laugh because long ago I was instructed (by myself) to never mess around with weapons in the house... never again... Of course this was after the window... and the lamp... and the ceiling fan... and the poor beagle who came within about an 1/8th of an inch of having his ear pinned to the headboard by the 4 1/2" blade of the Spyderco folder I was practicing the Steve McQueen "quick draw" with, and... well, all the other accidents I can't remember doing.
So I'm laughing with you all, not at 'cha. But I tell ya, sometimes when I'm not looking... I still do it too.
D@mned ninjas!!!

When you stand in at 6'4" in boots and swing a 28-inch piece of metal about, a 10-foot ceiling is suddenly much lower than you'd thought. Nevermind the ceiling fan...which we won't talk about. Especially not the bulbs.
The worst I've done recently is misjudge where I left my computer chair whilst feeling out Hanwei's prototype shashka. Nasty gouge in the back/side of it now. Hey, at least it's been a few years since I hit the ceiling!

Might I recommend that you stop playing with your swords indoors?

Yup, as last I checked I paid for my house and my swords, and I'm not exactly aiming for the walls. The issues described here are just as feasible to happen outdoors on a cutting stand as indoors. Just much more funny indoors.

Yes, because my neighbors take so well to large men swinging about sharp metal objects in the next yard over. I'll stay inside, and just tuck my elbows in a bit more.
