Does anyone know of a good source from production/semi custom gambesons offered in smaller chest sizes? the smallest of the get dressed for battle ones are about 42inch chests, in which I swim, for lack of a better term, and they usually don't fit well in the shoulders on top of that. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any information.

Man thoughs GDFB gambeson suck. I had one. I fought one time in it and sold it. I wear large, so I bought the gambeson in large. Man it was big on me. It's stiff and hard to move in and it heats up very fast. I was fighting with the gambeson more than the guy I was trying to fight with, just trying to move in it. This is the one I have now....boy I like it a lot, and it as small as 38''. revival.us/14thcgambesonitalianzuparello.aspxIt might cost a little bit more than GDFB but it's better and I learned that you get what you pay for. If you are going to train and fight with a gambeson, you should get a good one.

Speaking of gambesons... I put a Gambeson question on MyArmory, figuring for sure that would be the place to ask. So far... no responses. I'm looking for a light weight, black, short sleeved gambeson of decent quality and having a hard time finding one. Suggestions?

The first thing that come to mind is the MRL gambeson and just make it short sleeved yourself or have someone else do it. It's the lightest gambeson that I know of.

Not sure how I would 'take off the sleeves' without ruining the gambeson... I am considering this one... kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=100704B I was looking for short sleeve rather then sleeveless, but it might work. Something like MRL's 'Lionheart' Gambeson would be perfect... in black.

What are you using it for?
You can take it to a cleaners and have them shorten up the sleeves as short or long has you want. All they have to do is hemmed up the sleeves where they cut them at.

The MRL gambesons are good enough for that.
