I see we have been a bit spotty on this since my internet went unreliable due to travel. I will get back on top of it Monday.

I get frustrated with trying to post and things freeze and fail- can't wait for the site update. (note- this took several tries to post... and too much time waiting in between attempts)

So is this one any good? It looks like it might be a SLO, at least it's not stainless.

I think it's a fairly typical Windlass offering. There was someone a while back who had one and he said that it's not whippy but it's kind of on the heavy side.

I had one and the blade is decent. Would make a good project sword. The threaded portion of the tang is kind of small for a sword of this weight and the weight of the pommel.

What kind of really annoys me is that all the Robin Hood movie swords had pretty much identical blades. There was some variation in the fullers, but come on, they couldn't have changed it up a little?

I was lucky to notice that Sword of Malta was on discount. $195 sharpened and shipped to Finland. Not bad at all.

Also bought one on the last weekend campaign. Got it sharpened. The pommel cast piece is not exactly regal, but for the price, I think it's a really neat Cut and Thruster. Handles very well and of impressive size.

Agreed, the blade on mine looked like it was run over by a steamroller,

I hope that this is just a QC issue otherwise it's a shame because this is one of their more....aesthetically pleasing offering

Haha, I like it mainly because it looks less plain than some of their other stuff.that and the Charlemagne saber from hanwei just really capture my image of a royal sword

Pity I missed the Henri VIII deal, its had some ok reviews, if the freight to Oz was good I might have snagged one for that price for the collection.
