I have seen this one on the deal of the day before. For some reason, just can't like it.

It's actually pretty accurate to the Spanish original, which is extremely well preserved and has a spot in Records of the Medieval Sword in the Type XII chapter. Major differences are the extra thickness of the Pommel and Guard on the reproduction but colors and lettering are exact. I'd definitely pick it up if I had the cash at this price. Comparatively stats and guard type mirror the H/T EMSH (I think Tinker used the Casilda as his inspiration for the EMSH) with the MRL repro being only slighty heavier (probably due to the thicker bronze hilt as the blades are similar length and thickness). Too bad cause its my birthday today and this would be an excellent birthday present...

Yea school time has tended to always ruin birthday fun for me, lol. As a kid it was that school always started at or around my birthday, nowadays its school shopping for the kids stunting my gift spending!

Happy birthday Ndave. Times have changed. When I was a kid over ¾ of a century ago we had nowhere near the expense the kids have today, or that I had to spend on mine. For us it was a loose leaf binder, paper, pencil and an eraser that usually came attached to the pencil. I would get a book bag, which was optional and did make life easier. The books were supplied by the school system and we had to sign for them. They only cost was if lost and I never lost mine nor did any kid I know of except one, one time. Such things as math were learned using the head, memory, and reason. Not with an expensive calculator as I had to buy for my kids whom really learned button pushing rather than math itself, and certainly not a laptop along with an IP expense that I see many need to do so today. Oh yeah, I almost forget the school itself now asks for money for this and that in addition to everything else, that I have no recollection of then.

Yep it's true, literally half my kids' supply lists were for "school use" they even had a little not reminding us not to write their names on items for school use... They wanted 40lbs of printer paper, eight eraser board markers, six glue sticks, three packs of pencils and few other things....
