Me again! You might design it yourself....there's a young gent in New Zealand or maybe Australia who will help you with design and create it for you. He created a real masterpiece for someone here on this board...I've forgotten who...and the sword is named "Morrigan's Talon". You can search the the board for that name and maybe find it, but the guy's info is here below: Fable Blades - Brendan Olszowy brendan@fableblades.com! Just be prepared to open the wallet....the good part is he only makes one-of-a-kind swords so unless another smith copies one of them your good.

Thanks for the suggestion, but if I'm not mistaken the "build your own sword"-option is only for good old medieval knight type swords... Not the kind I'm after that is. Thanks anyhow!
And thanks for the tip about fableswords! Have been thinking about going all out custom, but then there's the aspect of price etc... Maybe sometime in the future, when economics are a bit better...

Cold steel is coming out with a five ball spadroon this year. Check them out!
I'll try to post pictures when I have time. The image looks nice. It's a straight blade that looks narrow enough to be a small sword but a bit heavier. Get this, it's only 20oz! Or was it 22oz? Sorry, can't confirm that yet.
Also, they have their line of military sabers. I recently checked out their 88MAS US Officer sword. If it didn't have all the etching, I would have bought it on the spot. If you want, I'll give you a few more impressions of it.
Thanks Cole

According to forum member Apollas, the smith at MRL who assembles the bllades and works on the project overall, MRL is working on a rapier, dagger, and longsword CYO line and looking to add more blade types to the current one, so might be worth it to wait that out. I'm just not a fan of cold steel and how they market their product, though it is a good product. Just often not as good as they claim, and usually a little over-priced from what I can tell. Though, my experience with them is minimal.

A Spadroon is supposed to be a militarized small sword. 22ozs is a bit light for that. Pretty sword though.
Of the new items the ANIX light cav officers saber is what really got my attention. Nice detailing. One of these would be easier on the pocket book than a $2K antique.

Jackpot! I'm in love! www.odinblades.com/Gallery/damas ... d1.jpg.gif This is just perfection... Perhaps not the lightning fast type of sword I initially requested, and it hasn't got the french dragoon type three ring guard. but I still Love it! So much in fact that I've sent john an email asking how much it would cost... I fear for the reply, because I already know I probably wont be able to afford one for a very long time... But still, no harm in dreaming eh? I'm just gonna sit here for a bit, drooling and dreaming...
