I like the look of their stuff, and hope someone can chime in on quality. I wonder what the prices are?

I don't own one, but I've heard good things. Their prices are very reasonable.
However, some people have had communication issues... but I think as long as you keep checking back on your order, it should be okay. If you want a semi-custom at a good price then I'd say go for it.

the pommel has no nut or peen from the pics, so it is possible that the pommel itself is threaded which would make it weak since it is brass. if you want a good han sword i would suggest jin-shi

Sinosword are making me a custom Jian as we speak, I will post a review of the final product once I get it (around a month production time left). Their prices are very reasonable and they seem to know how to make good and complex swords.

Good points- unique design compared to the 1000's of look-alike jians Steel looks nice, blade collar is fitted nicely too double hollow grinds heck fittings in general look nice handle included scabbard is well shaped Bad points- says copper fittings but imo that's brass for sure- so are any of the specs right? no listed price cheap rope around the scabbard no pics of the tang- how's it held in the handle? Ask for pics of the tang, ensure rounded shoulders and a good method of securing to handle, demand copper as described (would look waaay better imo- brass is so overdone on jians), switch the rope for leather, then see about price. Then if all is good buy it, use it for a while and then sell it to me!!

Thats actually a really cool looking sword, a pleasant departure from the cookie cutter pieces that are all too prevalent on the market.
The only real concerns are as stated above, the tang, Handle, and pommel attachment. Even having only a 21 inch blade, if the grip assembly is secured by a screw on pommel alone, regardless of epoxy, that's an accident waiting to happen IMHO.

I suspect the pommel is just a cap, possibly epoxied on, with a nut below to secure the tang. That's how most of the other Han jians that I've seen are built.
