Yeah... you would have to be comfortable with speaking to real people, face to face, as opposed to the iNtErWeBz... like actual socialization. To be fair tho... my old group used to be hard core character developing roleplayers... but the people I've been meeting the past 5 years or so that play tabletop RPG's (By which I mean they pretty much only play D&D, which is sad, there are many better games out there IMO) play them just like they are playing WoW... and there is not much 'spoken role play' at all.

Hahaha. Its hard finding a decent group. I don't play anymore. Work, School (going back for my EE) and kids leaves no time. I liked the char development too. Got to be too much number crunching took long to do a round of combat. Finding a group who plays in the style you like is difficult. Ran some games, and I'm pretty good, just prefer playing more. Much less work ![:)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . It always bugged me that a game devoted to nerds and geeks couldn't do some simple research for just a TAD of accuracy. Always pissed me off. Can't tell you how many times I brought out a "long sword" to show them, no it doesn't weigh nearly what the book says.... Just got under my skin I'm thinking of starting a game with my kids. It got me into reading and math as a kid, figure it is worth a shot.. On the whole scorpion thing, I'm done with talking about it. I put my foot in my mouth and apologized and explained my reasoning in the first place. No doubt Chris sounds like good people.

I recommend it! One of the things I noticed about people who started as kids (unlike me), is that it fosters their imaginations and ability to dream. Plus, it gives them a healthy interest in the fantasy genre.
