Hi folks,
Does anyone have any experience with the Hanwei Pudao, and would you recommend it?
Seeking your opinions on this piece.
Thanks

One of our old forum members, Cara, has one... but she has not posted in a long, long time. Much to our sadness. I've been tempted to pick one of these up a few times myself.

It would have been good to hear her thoughts on the pudao. I'm wondering whether this handles more lika a sword like a dadao, or a polarm like a guandao, or whether it's in a class of its own. I'm very tempted to get one...

Wow, that really is one cool looking bad ass little lady with a big blade! From the picture, the Hanwei pudao seems like a decent sized pole weapon with a fairly long blade. Quite surprised no one else has one of these... Heck, if I buy one, I'll review it too, catch is whether I get one or not! :?

I miss Cara... she's awesome. I've been VERY tempted to get one... I might still do so in the future if I have any cash.

Skallagrim posted a video on Youtube last year showcasing swords and things that were in his and Cara's collection in the past they they, for one reason or another, got rid of. Another member asked the same thing regarding the pudao and though it's not exactly very informational, Skallagrim replied that they had no complaints quality wise and would definitely recommend it.

Thanks Vincent, that's encouraging to know that the quality is there in the Hanwei pudao.

No problem, if I get one, hopefully soon, there's a review in the pipeline!

That was me who asked that! I'm finding it hard to choose between the tac-kat and this pudao

Well, I've done it, I've ordered the pudao! BTW, I'm thinking of getting the Hanwei Tactical katana too!

Cool. I like the pudao better than the guandao. Vayduong has both and I got to play with both of them. The pudao handles a lot better than the guandao. I think I have a cutting vid with Vay on a wooden horse trying to cut with the pudao.

Hi Razor, If you have a pudao cutting vid, please post! Thanks for the recommendation over the guandao, I feel assured I made the right choice!

I was there when Vay slashed the bottles with Pudao from (wooden)horse back and it was impressive. You are sure making a right choice. I want one too but I have no space to use it .

Not sure if I have space to weild such a large polearm, but some friends with large back yards will be interested in chopping up a few bottles, that's for sure. I still have to try out my Hanwei Dadao too to see how well it cuts!
Now, its a 2-3 week wait till the magic parcel arrives on the doorstep!

I think the guandao looks like a piece of sheet metal on a pole XD So the pudao is one of their chinese swords actually MADE to cut?

And the pudao looks like a bigger dadao on a longer handle, this should be interesting!!!
