Early on, it was a belt mounted power supply. Usage was limited due to profligate energy consumption, and an excess of generated heat
With the advent of the Diatium power cell, the power comes from the assembly contained in the hilt and is projected through a set of focusing crystals.
Top that you schmendricks!!

I cranked this through an online Latin-to-English translator, and got this: "I want to thank you whole for your to say back when my seeking. I wasn't far whole wonder very outcome. This darkness of respect is a glorious the publishing of a book , when upon sword's point enmity fieri serene"
Which I guess means: "Thank you for helping me."

There is no time for peace.

A light-sabre with low self-discharge NiMH batteries? Can store it away for 12 months and you'll still have 80% charge on the battery when you need it in a hurry!

Listen, it's simple. The power of my sword comes from... where else? My swords plug- duh! And Hiroshi, no matter how good they are, double AA's can't compare to good ol' A/C! ('course an extension cord comes in handy)

i realize that this got sidetracked but back to OP ?
the power of the sword comes from the ground thru the feet, ampified by the hips thru the waist. then applied by the shoulders thru the arms and out the wrist to the sword

the power of the sword comes from the power that we as humans give it. The sword is the ultimate symbol of peace, war, and warriors. And the wielders of these weapons wield them with a great sense of honor. Such as Bushido with the samurai and Chivalry with the Knights. This is where the sword draws its true power from. that being said "what is the sword, without the Hand that wields it?"
