I took a group shot the other day of my crusades era swords for a thread over on Myarmoury and thought it would be a good start towards showing some of my collection. First, the group shot arranged by Oakeshott classification. Top Row: Albion Reeve, Vigil, custom Del Tin 2133, Albion Gaddhjalt, Arn, Norman, St. Maurice of Turin, Templar, Oakeshott, and Ritter. Bottom Row: Custom Ollin type XII, Albion SL Knightly, Knight, SL Great Sword, Baron, Duke, Tritonia, Sovereign, and Vassal. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Dan

That is a fine collection Dan, could you tell me what the sword above the falchion in the last pic is? It looks like a mix of the VA line.

Nice stuff, I like the pommel and guard variations that your collection displays.

Thanks Guys, Yep, Lunaman is correct, it is a sovereign...a beautiful and very handy sword. I've edited the OP to include a list of what they are. Thanks, Dan

You got quite a few honeys, my man. How about that Vigil and Ritter, how do they handle? If I were to pick up one single-hander from Albion, it'd be one of those two.

The Ritter and Vigil are both fine choices and I'm sure you'd be happy with either (the Ritter feels much lighter than you'd guess). However, I'd have to say the Vigil is probably my favorite single-hander I own. The feel is just perfect....enough blade presence to let you know it could take a monster bite, yet extremely maneuverable. Couple that with the fact that you have an almost perfect reproduction of a well known medieval original and I'd say the Vigil is a winner Let me know if you have any other questions, Thanks, Dan
