I remember seeing that somewhere, I believe (but not sure) that it is 420 j2 steel.

I have one Swordboy. It is carbon steel with a cast metal handle. If you like I will post some pics and it would be no problem to answer any questions you have.

Yes it's solid. It is light about 1lb, like all Windlass it comes blunted. I sharpened mine to about razor sharp and can cut free standing pool noodles and I would have no problem cutting anything else. post pics latter.

The sheath is ok I had to c-clamp it so the knife wouldn't fall out. OK here are my pics. Top part of the handle. Side of the handle Bottom of the handle The diamond thing where my thumb is pointing at starts to irritate my finger when using the knife. I'm thinking about grinding it off. Choking up on the handle like this doesn't irritate my fingers.
