I remember seeing that somewhere, I believe (but not sure) that it is 420 j2 steel.

I have one Swordboy. It is carbon steel with a cast metal handle. If you like I will post some pics and it would be no problem to answer any questions you have.

Yes it's solid. It is light about 1lb, like all Windlass it comes blunted. I sharpened mine to about razor sharp and can cut free standing pool noodles and I would have no problem cutting anything else. post pics latter.

The sheath is ok I had to c-clamp it so the knife wouldn't fall out. OK here are my pics. ![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w62/Razor-_2007/IMG_0432.jpg) ![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w62/Razor-_2007/IMG_0435.jpg) Top part of the handle. ![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w62/Razor-_2007/IMG_0436.jpg) Side of the handle ![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w62/Razor-_2007/IMG_0437.jpg) Bottom of the handle ![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w62/Razor-_2007/IMG_0438.jpg) The diamond thing where my thumb is pointing at starts to irritate my finger when using the knife. I'm thinking about grinding it off. ![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w62/Razor-_2007/IMG_0434.jpg) Choking up on the handle like this doesn't irritate my fingers.
