I used to have an M1A. I miss it from time to time. I sold it to fund my trip to Korea 3 years ago. I used to have more firearms but I sold alot of them off to fund my sword habit.

I don't think I could ever part with the M1a. Absolutely the finest weapon I've ever owned. My search for the perfect rifle ended with this one. My search for my perfect carry gun ended with the Shield. Looking forward to your pics Sean. Yeah, I'm on a quest to get it back... GREAT rifle. The shield took me a while to get used to... I didn't shoot it well at first, had to do a LOT of shooting with it as well as a few mods that were suggested by ShooterMike. I put in the APEX trigger sear kit and put the XS Big Dot sights on it... now its my favorite carry gun by far as well.

Here's one of my wheelie favs. Started life as a S&W Model 58 .41 Magnum. Cylinder was rebored to .44 Magnum and a light weight barrel from a S&W Model 24 was cut to 5" and fitted. Novak front sight and slicked up action finished out the package. It's a bit of a beastie with full-power magnums, but with hot .44 Special handloads it's the cat's meow! Shown here with custom leather goods from Matt DelFatti Leather.

Very nice S&Ws guys...now where's the wood love :( I'm a fan of the dark red/cherry-like finishes on some of these aftermarket grips. would love to get my hands on something like this: (not my picture btw); bead blasted + bluing

I can answer that for you Larry the model 1917 was a fill in for lack of 1911 in WWI they used 45acp in half moon clips and the 45 auto rim cartage.I have a model 1917 made by S&W that went to Europe in WWI came back to the states went over to England during WWII for lend lease and was carried by a fighter pilot in the RAF and again came back to the states again.wish that gun could talk it would have some interesting stories to tell

Nice choice. GP100s are durable workhorse and a heck of a deal. It I was dumped on an alien planet and could only take a revolver, that'd be the one.

It seems like guns can be just as addictive as swords haha. I'm already thinking of a 9mm perhaps a Beretta 92fs Inox.

It seems like guns can be just as addictive as swords haha. I'm already thinking of a 9mm perhaps a Beretta 92fs Inox. NOOOO! don't do it. the Beretta 92 family are junk, made famous buy the US military when they replaced the 1911, mostly a NATO pandering deal, but ask any vet that carried one and they will tell you, even in the early days of the Afghan Iraq wars we acquired "other weapons", I know some in the special ops that took Glocks and Kimbers, hell in 2002 in Afghanistan I picked up (liberated) a 10mm Tokarev, holstered it and the Beretta got stuffed in my ruck, that Tok save me many times, wish I could have gotten it home but the risk of going to jail wasn't worth it.
there are soooo many affordable handguns out there that would serve you better, I would not recommend any 92 variant, to many bad experiences, personal and witnessed.
Just my 2cents,
