Thanks for taking the time to post your pictures, and the informative notes. Great to see all this.
I was there many many years ago way before I ever knew I would be so enthralled by swords and other armory. I hope to go back some day soon. I will probably spend an entire week documenting every piece, in every detail as much as possible. Thanks again for your efforts.

Man, I hope I can make it over there some day. Thanks for sharing. I could spend all day in the tower looking at that stuff.
And thanks Chuck, I got that song stuck in my head now!

Nice very nice! I was there yesterday and took along my camera. I was very happy to see Cromwells sword there, the blade looks very different to the Hanwei version, much to my disappointment...
I will post some photos of stuff that you may have missed.

Sweet! I'd love to gander at more photos m'self!
The cromwell sword is indeed more substantial than the hanwei blade would have you believe. I still think the replica's decently attractive, though.

Very cool, thanks for posting! Those combination weapons always boggle my mind. The mace/gun is particularly fun/brutal.

The owner of this suit of armor must have been a hell of a pimp daddy..or a megalomaniac..or both

I remember seeing that samurai armor when I visited the Tower right after graduating high school. I was looking at all the different armors, and then I'm like, "Wait a minute...?" and backstep a few steps, and then I saw it. Definitely not something I was expecting to see in a European castle, lol.
