hi guys, figured I'd show off what I got. it's pretty small compared to most of yours, and consists of mainly wallhangers from my teenage collecting days but here it is.

That's an interesting collection. The union civil war saber is especially nice. I guess an Arkansas Toothpick would be a sword for someone as small as a six year old. I wish my shop teacher had been cool enough to let me make a sword. I tried making a club and was quickly stopped by the shop teacher.

thebrass set has a fulltang construction. the brass handles have a mccloud like design that I think is better. the sayas are nice too. each is handcarved with a dragon on oneside and a phoenix on the other. I also love the tsuba. it has a oval shape that fits thehand perfectly. if the katanas had functional blades it would be top notch. the tiger set is more simple. nyloncord and rattail tang. they are a attractive display set and from adistance you'd think they were thereal hanwei models. I guess the early eighties had more slack inclass. he was a big d&d freak back then and that was his motivation.

That is a nice collection. The Windlass sword of roven is a good sword. Think it is one of their best longer blades.

thanks william,
yea I was impressed by it. no whippy, tight fitings, and the size.
I thought my tinker bastard was a good sized sword. the roven makes it look tiny.

"this is a fencing foil I picked up last summer. don't know if it's worth anything but its fullered and was made in italy. any info on it would be appreciated."
This is actually not a foil but a practice sabre non-electric. It looks like a Leon Paul, but if it's really Italian, then probably Negrini

Yeah I agree with you on that. When people would come over and see that sword for the first time they looked like this  . lol

My friend really liked it too. He said it reminded him of a braveheart /aundril hybrid. I'm really liking this sword the more I use it. Have gotten my alignment down enough to cut one handed. Great sword. The type XX design is nice too very unique to what's normally offered sub $300.00.

The Roven is a win for Windlass, and for those of us who have one as well !!
If you get a chance to get a 15th Century Longsword for a price that suits you, pick it up as well. Another good one from the Windlass folks.
