A + shot to you for sharing the goodness. Man, the trip was worth that little adventure alone in my eyes. Nice photos of some exquisite specimens. How long did you get to wander around the museum drooling on the displays? And I just clocked 1000 with this post, only fitting that it is a thread displaying phenomenal swords.

No problem, guys! I'll try to get some more pictures from the trip up soon--sorting through them all has been taking longer than I expected. chuck, I spent about two hours at the Cluny staring at things. I think a "normal" visitor would need half that, but I really wanted to soak everything in. Just awesome.

great post. some of those blades were in great condition for how old they are. where they all owned by the museum or where some of them from private collections?

Thanks folks! nddave, these are all museum pieces, but most were shipped in from OTHER museums, not the Cluny. This exhibit is only for the summer, then they go back home.
