I decided to personalize a couple of my swords by adding gems to them. The first is my VA Signature Kreigschwert. I ot a couple of Tiger Eye Agates to fit into the pommel and I think it turned out pretty well.

I also had a couple of tear drop or pear shape Garnets I added to the guard of my Windlass Raptor Sword. For some reason, the pictures didn't come out as well on this one.

All in all considering the stones only cost me about $20, I think it turned out pretty well.

That's actually where I got the idea. I'm going to have to check some of the vendors at the Scarborough Fair when I go and see if the have anything I might want to use. I have a couple of 20mm round onyx stones, but they just don't look right on anything I have.

I got the ones I have from Fire Mountain Gems. They sell mostly jewelry supplies but I got the stones and some 12 gauge wire I will be using to wrap the Asegai I will be putting together just after the spear head and butt piece. I might even wrap some around the middle where your hand would go if you were going to throw it. I'll have to see when all the parts get in what looks best.
