Nice collection, Chris. If you don't mind my asking, what are those two below the VAs? I don't think I've ever seen them before.

Those are atrims... looks like maybe a 1557 and a XVIa of some sort...

Thanks all!
Sean's correct. Those are a 1557 and a XVIa. I'm not sure what the proper id# is for the XVIa.

I think its a Makers Mark XVIa... a pretty rare sword... I had one, but with a different pommel.

Nice collection. I like the variety of styles and different manufacturers.
In the third picture is the center sword a Windlass Oakeshott Type XIV Medieval Arming Sword? What is your opinion of it? Thanks.

It is indeed a Windlass Type XIV (misnamed the IV at the time I ordered it ) It is a good sword. It is a bit on the heavy side and does not quite "flow" in the hand as smoothly as I would like. But it is solid and feels strong in the hand. It just feels... deadly . A good battle sword. I got the MRL sharpening service for it. They gave it a steep, crude and rough secondary bevel that cut me while I was running a rag along the side of the blade...yes, that rough. A few minutes with sandpaper and it was smooth and less dangerous. It cuts very well. It is also the only Type XIV in the sub $300 range that I am aware of. All in all, if available for a good price I would recommend it

Thanks for your informative response ChrisA.
I always liked this sword. After reading your views on it I will be definitely adding one to my collection. Thanks again.
