hey everyone, im looking at buying my first asian sword soon and i wondered what everyone thought about the few i had in mind. i have read the reviews on each and they all seem up to par for what i want them for (training myself with the use of whichever style i end up with as well as light cutting).
the three i had in mind were:
1. Hanwei tactical wakazashi- i like the style of this one the best and i have no doubt it would be an excellent cutter (even in my unskilled hands) the only thing i was worried about was the size, is this an ok sword to train with? or is it mainly for someone who has experience with this blade style?
2. hanwei banshee- i like the blade style and thickness but what won me over was how it looks in the sheath, it just looks mean and buisness like, and i dig it. oh, and i like the fact that it comes with the lock as well, it seems like it would be easier to carry during hikes and camping trips. the only thing i worried about with this sword was the handling, i had the chance to handle one in person at the local knife shop and it felt kind of like a machete. maybey its just my untrained hands but i dont want to pay 130$ for a fancy machete.
3. Musashi swords- i have read alot of reviews on the various models from this company and i have to say ive been impressed by what i read about them, for the price they seem like the best place to start but theyres so many models that it makes my head spin lol  i dont have any model in particular that i preffer over another so if anyone has a reccomendation i would love to hear it.
if anyone wants to reccomend anything else id love to hear it, i dont know many manufacturers and would be happy to get any info on some more. my price range is fairly low since im young with a family and just starting out this hobby my max for right now is 150$ but i would go up to around 200$ if the sword really caught my eye. well, thanks for reading, oh and if i put this in the wrong place Mods feel free to move.
