Greetings all,
I would be remiss If I did not mention this seller and the absolutely outstanding service and product i recieved from them.
I was in the market for a new iaito, (my Tozando is falling apart after roughly 6 years of use) and I decided to take a leap of faith and purchased one of their iaito, you can see the one I purchased here:
cgi.ebay.com/Authentic-Japanese-Katana-29-Izuminokami-Kanesada-/220775176527?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336739d94f
Anyways, since it was a best offer sale, I offered $350 which was accepted within an hour by the seller, I paid them and then as you all know, we play the waiting game.
I received an e-mail from the seller the next day telling me that they were getting the sword from the sword maker and would ship it out tomorrow and you know what? They actually did ship it out as promised, I recieved an e-mail the next day with tracking and the works. I paid for the sword on the 19th, and recieved it on the 25th, 6 days is not too shabby a shipping time no?
When it was recieved it was wrapped pretty badly, there was a layer of tape over thin corugated cardboard, my first thought was that is was gonna be damaged. However after getting the thick layer of skin off, SUPRISE, an actual shipping box underneath. The sword was expertly packed in foam and was packed in a plastic bag with pretty japanese paper covering it. After completely removing and inspecting the sword, I was impressed, it was exactly as pictured and one of the nicest iaito's I've purchased. HOWEVER, upon further inspection, I found a 2" crack in the seam of the saya near the koiguchi  so I e-mail the seller....
As with any seller, he tells me that they would be happy to take it back and send me another, however I have to pay shipping. After some thought, I decided to keep it as-is, it is an iaito after all, it won't rust and the crack is on the mune side, so I seal the crack with a little glue and laqcuer, good as new and I saved myself a hefty shipping charge. I e-mail the seller the next day to let them know that I fixed it, will keep it as-is and all is well.
What I did not expect is a return e-mail the same day thanking me for my understanding and offering me a complete refund of my shipping charge.
It really is too bad that there are so many dishonest sellers on ebay, I nearly passed up what I think was one of the best dealings I've had with any seller because of bad previous experiences.
This seller really is a diamond in the rough.
