More scrolling madness? It's a great way of making things look cool.
Did you do it same way as last time, or did you use a hammer this time?

You likee? Yeah I heated it with the forge and scrolled it with some pliers; little bit, heat up, little bit more etc.. I made the flat pointies just from grinding, not forging. Then I actually curled them early in the piece, wasn't content, and redid a couple of them just before I quenched it.
This knife was a pain to do without a milling machine, and you'd understand why if I could illustrate how it made it. It took 7 hours before I even started grinding down the bevels! So I'm gonna spend bulk time on it and make it really rock. This ones for me.

By the way, if you look at the length of the hand space you get an idea how big this is. its about 18" or so overall.

It is marvellously unique. I'm not sure I get on with the barb near the point, though. It looks a little too much, if you know what I mean. Just personal preference, though. Ignore.

If any of you guys are looking for a custom knife, I couldn't recommend Fable Blades more highly. They look amazing and they will perform upto spec

A bit delayed do you family demands, but I have the scales cut out and drilled, I just need to sand them down to profile and atach them. Then I'll post more pics. To finish I will carve the grip and maybe etch the blade, and probably blue it. If any of you guys are looking for a custom knife, I couldn't recommend Fable Blades more highly. They look amazing and they will perform upto spec Thanks for the props BW. I'm glad your slasher fulfilled your hopes.

Can't wait to see it finished. What, BW's Slasher, or the Elvin? Both hey!

This isn't finished yet, more fine tuning to go. But you can get the gist of my vision. Lots of photos, taken this evening in a stolen moment. The flash shows up the curl in the grain: Contoured for comfort: To give some idea of the size of this baby:

Looks beautiful mate, great job. Love the handle on that thing, beauty piece of jarrah and wow that is a real big knife, is it as big as the slasher? Boy, you could gut someone pretty easy with that puppy, I thought you were going to blue it?

I am going to blue her, but she's not ready yet.
The Elven is 435mm (17.5") overall, and 310mm (12.2") from the main cross, with 290mm (11.5") cutting edge, so yeah similar to yours BW.

Yest my Master, I'll definately be taking on some bottles with this baby. You hang tight, and we'll see how she goes. Thanks for the appreciation of my work. I'm no Master, but I do my best. More work done, can you spot it, lol. The varnish wasn't dry when I took these pics: And no she ain't finished. I still have to tidy it all up (sand), sharpen it, then blue it.
