So, if you don't want to have that silly exclamation point at the end of any email you write into a post then check/select
" Do not automatically parse URLs" at the bottom of the full post editor.
!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone wanna tell us what else that button is for?

I believe it's for security reasons-- if the board automatically adds a "!" to the end of any email spelled out here, then spam-bots looking over the board (they're getting smarter every day. Skynet, anybody?) can't pick them up and spam people. That's my guess, anyway.

Elheru has become self aware- is now taking action to protect itself- launching strikes on SFI and SwordNation to initiate retaliation and instigate judgement day.

I don't understand the enough about what the parsing of url's is, so i won't try and explain it. All i know (or think) is that it has something to do with the way your browser interprets & links/doesn't link the code. Example: [ With automatically parsed URL] www.Formula1.com

Example: [ Without automatically parsed URL] www.Formula1.comThe one on top automatically linked itself just by me typing the address, the one below didn't. I think there's a lot more to it than just that, but i'm not sure what other functions or effects it has.
