I am serious. I bought a few, then a few more, now have plans for additional ones. I'm at a point where my wish list just keeps growing and there is no end in sight. Is it that way for everyone here?

Well, if we eventually find you broke and homeless, lying in an alley with a sword stuck halfway up your nose, begging for loose change to buy another piece of steel? Yeah, there might be a problem  .
Just remember to keep your priorities straight: Bills, food, gas $, work/school, family and friends-- those come first. Swords are nice, but keep them within your budget and you'll be okay.

They can be a minor addiction. ive found the same true of almost any hobby. with me its guns and swords. ill go on a frenzy finding 3 or 4 swords i want. then ill decide nah i dont need em. then ill see some guns i want...but in the end i only buy what i can afford. and it takes me so long to save up for something i want i have months to think about if i really want it. The key is to not buy on impulse. if you see a piece of steel you feel like you MUST have. give it a month and think about it. more often than not youl change your mind. After alot of thought i can only think of 2 things i feel i MUST have after long hard thinking. Th first is a full custom fableblade. the other is a .45 colt Single action army with Hand Of God Grips.

Saito has stated my feeling well- I concur and there's no need to rehash what's been so wel put.
Sidenote though, ....that's why the classifieds here wreaks havoc on my reason- Must have that- but gotta wait to se if I really do- but what if someone else gets it first? I actually prefer to see an item sell right away so the torture can end quickly.

More an obsession I'd say.

Of course swords aren't an addiction. Like everyone else on this forum, I can quit anytime I want. I have complete and utter control over my sword collecting. I would never do anything irrational or compulsive over swords. By the way, what swords do you have and what's your address?

Eh, if someone told me that I could keep all the swords I had but I couldn't buy any more, I'd be fine with that. Then again, I have 10+ swords (which is pittance compared to others around here) so I've already bought the types that I like and any further purchases will be exploratory or just buying better examples.

I think I am going from BRD: black-rifle-disease to SsTD-siny-steel-disease.

Hiroshi, you monster, you're an enabler! Shame on you!
I kid, I kid.
Something that helps me control the urge; I've made a rule for myself that my own little collection will never exceed 10 swords at one time. If I see one that I just HAVE to get my hands on, I have to sell off another one to make room. So far so good!

Not a bad strategy Sneakypete.
My problem is that I need to slow way down soon. Got a good tax return this year and bought 6 swords in a months time. Now I hope to get one next week and might get one more in the next month. After that I have to slow down. On a good note, my wife has been very understanding, even though she couldn't care less for them.
