So guys, how's this for threadromancy?
Didn't want to start a whole new thread for it, mostly because it couldn't hold its own thread, but I happened to stumble across this video earlier:
(Edit: Drat, the timer broke the codething; skip to about 1:25 because when I found the video, the link was to that point and I haven't gone back to see the rest)
(Edit 2: On second thought, watch the whole thing, because DANCE.)
It's apparently a scene from "Bodas de Sangre" (as you might have guessed from the YouTube title) which all I can get through a search is it's a Spanish play, later turned into movies, and something about flamenco.
Anyway, thought the knife-play was interesting, never seen deflections like that and they seem counter-intuitive to me, but what the heck. Wouldn't mind knowing if those are production or custom knives, though. I'm sure they're blunt props, granted, but that the guys were able to flick them open strikes me as unusual since none of mine do that, but I'm guessing it's a matter of size and design.
So yeah, nearly two years later...wow, I'm in the same boat as my previous post. Neat.
Apologies to newcomers, this was a long thread.

Yeah, way ta "necro" a thread, man! That was ... different. :? But it was realistic in that it showed how a REAL knife fight usually ends. Now if that chick would get rid of the Goth eye makeup, she'd probably look pretty hot!
