Hi all
Im new to Chinese swords with my collection consisting of mainly katana and medievals ,but iv decided to add a chinese piece to my collection as I eventually aim to have something from all era's in my collection .Has anyone had any experience with the Cold Steel Jade Lion Gim? I have read the review on the old forum and it seems like a nice looking sword .
Any opinions,thoughts or advice would be appreciated as I know nothing about Chinese swords (other than what I like visually) . Iv also been looking at the Hanwei line in the Qi Jian and the Han sword ,but have read that they are not really made for any cutting at all ?

I LOVE the look of the Cold Steel Jade Lion Gim... one of the most attractive swords of its type I've seen... sadly, I've never handled one in hand. I had the other Cold Steel Gim tho... which I liked a lot. It was very attractive... super sharp out of the box and a great cutter. CMA practitionars often say that it was not balanced right... and I wouldn't know not being training in CMA, but I loved it.

Well after some thought Iv decided to order a Jade Lion Gim to add to my collection .It looks really great in all the pics iv seen ,so now its just the long wait (international order) for it to reach me .

Thanks ,ill post some pics as soon as it arrives .It usually takes 2 weeks (provided customs dont have delays that is ).
Untill then Im receiving my Charlegmane saber today to tie me over ,lol .Iv also just added a Jade Lion Dagger ,thought the matching set would look really good together.
