Would it be a good idea to create a "Good Deals Alert Thread" where we would post...eh...well, good deals alerts at different manufacturers/retailers? Like one day only deals, specials, etc. It could help members not miss on excellent, but often short-lived, opportunities.

I second the motion.
Make the post short and sweet: sale start and finish dates, or any other important information needed (codes, etc).

Thanks Chris! That is a good deal indeed...nice, so it's a go for this thread. yay edit: thanks for the guidelines suggestions Kilted, worth considering...only maybe we don't need be so restrictive as they are: I wouldn't mind people commenting on the deals myself...

Thanks, this will be my first sword. Good timing, too; I was just about to buy another. Click for review of this sword, but as you read it keep in mind that you're paying 2/3 the price - or less - that he did.

Custom Sword Shoppe price drop? custom-sword-shoppe.com/shoppe/i ... oppjr08hv1 I knew the Warder was on blowout at $350, but now the Castile, Bristol and Hedemark at at $384-ish. Man that complicates matters.

Actually these prices are the going prices...CF, VA, and Kult of Athena all have them at about the $384 price range. The problem is availability.

It does seem too low to be true though. If a legit deal, that is a screaming good price according to where everyone else has it priced at.
Anyone ever dealt with them before??

I've dealt with Swords of Honor before, (actually bought that Hanwei Renaissance Sidesword from them a few years back  ) Seemed like a pretty reputable seller, nothing too remarkable about the transaction that I can recall.
I ordered a sword and it arrived safely in a few days--they had the best prices on Hanwei stuff around when I was shopping for a sidesword. I think I remember them being mentioned on the list of reputable dealers on the SBG main site, but I'm not sure.

I've bought from Swords of Honor a couple of times. I never had any problems with them.

Don't know how great of a deal it is but the 1060 DH Musashi are now $65.00 at Sword and Armory.
