message responded. It all comes down to convincing my dad to let my buy the darned thing. I just discovered some hidden cash in my room (about $100 stashed in an old bookbag) so I've got the money....

You lose track of money in the amounts of $100??!! Jeez, I wish I could afford to do the same.

Well i was only $95 if that helps....
I think thats where I through some extra 1 dollar bills last year and it kept growing. Some 5s, 10s, and like a single 20, but mostly 1s.

Must be nice, eh, Ramm?
Reminds me of the time last February when I found an uncashed paycheck dated from December. Just inside the 90 day void period. I'd love to do that again.

Excellent testing. That Dardsword held up very impressivly on the barrel test. And the Price is Right!
karma +1 for destructive testing and for getting SBG members a good deal.

i am amazed that a threaded tang can hold up so well to tell the truth. Really love the squire sword and the more detailed viking sword. If i had the money i would buy both the squire and the elven fantasy sword. Now i just have to learn how good they are for reenactment.

You are a bad bad man, Paul. Just what I need another sword to covet. Keep up the good work, brother.

Fantastic review Paul! I'm barely interested in any thing shy of a katana and this review made me want to get one. Despite all this you still broke my heart as you swung away at the most hardened of objects with such a pretty sword Speaking of which, do you go to a junk yard and take random metal objects or something or do you simply have alot of extra cans, cement blocks, wood blocks, tatami matts, drums, and trash can lids with which you can trash coveted swords with?

I am glad that the barrel test was done with a lower priced sword. Not to disparage the durability of albion or atrim, but I think there was a bit too much carrying on when those swords did well on said test. Any well tempered sword with decent geometry can do it.
I feel that recently it is finally coming to light that the thing that you get the smallest increase in when you spend more money is the actual ability of the sword to do its job- even when it comes to customs. Those thousands buy a sword that among other things (uniqueness, beauty) is guaranteed to be tempered well, but generally not any better than a production sword that was tempered well.
