As I just learned from Sword Buyer's Digest, Paul's offering some value bundles of CAS Hanwei items, wherein you get several pieces at a reduced price. The viking bundle appeals to me, but what other bundles would we like to see?
Personally, I'd love a Duelist bundle that would come with either a rapier or side sword, a dagger, a buckler and maybe a pair of leather gauntlets.

Why not a 'ninja package'? I'm not into it, but plenty of people would be! Your choice of ninja-to (between the two new ones) the shuriken set of spikes that straps to your wrist, and.... what other ninja stuff do they have? If it had to be Hanwei, I would go for a set of the Taza cup rapier and Main Gauche, and perhaps their rapier belt.
Others
The trainer: A couple of their hinged combat helmets and a couple of their training swords.
The Pirate version: A cutlass, a dagger a wooden leg and a stuffed Parrot.

you are forgetting the kama with ball and chain in your bundle at least if it was still availlable... for my part i would like it if they would do a bundle of japanese sword set (katana, wakizashi and tanto) could be useful to find a deal with the three for jsa practitionner  |

Good call! Why is it only cheap slo's come in the full 3 sword set? Sure you can find the occasional kat/wak daisho package, but a nice matching set including the tanto is way overdue. (or maybe I just never looked for it..  ) |

I'd buy that.
The katana, wakizashi, tanto set would be good, but you could also do a set with a katana and wakizashi with a long and short shinai and a kendo mask. That way you've got the real thing plus sparring gear.

FYI there are a couple of Hanwei 3-blade sets in this deal, I know the bushido is one of them, buy the katana and tanto and get the waki and stand free. I think there's another one that has all three as well.
Personally I would like to see Hanwei offer up some of their bare blades for customization. You can buy replacement tinker blades, but for Japanese swords it's all or nothing.

A damn good idea. But only if they are of identical weight and length. Of course, they need to have different menuki (or some small identifiable difference), so that I won't accidentally cut myself.

That's what I was thinking = same dimensions between the two, and some way of telling which one is which from the outside easily. That would be bad to grab the wrong sword thinking you had the other one :shock: . I've seen a set like this somewhere but I cant remember for the life of me where its at. The way they had to tell them apart was different seppa. One had the notch seppa while the other had gear seppa.

Speaking of bundle packs: sbg-sword-store.sword-buyers-gui ... ct152.html But as far as what I'd like to see, I'd like to see GDFB put together some simple medieval outfits and offer them at a lower cost. I'd really like to have a ren fair suit, but can't justify spending 100+ bucks on the whole outfit. I'm not looking to be a knight, I just wanna be a peasant... with a sword on his belt... cause he "found" it. |

Yep Greg GDFB pack could be very interesting, something else than whole sets of plate armor like they do, maybe a half-set, or chain mail and vikingesque clothes...

Again you are behind the curve my man... just read the Opening Post in this thread... John mentioned your linked Viking Bundle as the reason for starting this thread. I'm starting to worry about you... first you missed the Tinker Bastard Sword sales by a month... now you missed the first post of this very thread... do I need to come over there and take your temperature? i like your idea for the bare blades the only one i found so far was the KC 5160 bare blade for something like between 110$ and 139$ us
i think hanwei bareblades would be nice (bamboo mat blade arrrrrrrrr!!!!)
