Been a while since I've come up with something, I know. But I have been tossing around the idea of a brutal chopper I'm calling "The Goblin". Let me know what you guys think? It'll be tactical design just slabs of wood for the handle, probably carved and contoured.

Here's a new one I've been toying with. Not certain what to call her yet. If you haven't guessed by now I'm a sucker for finger rings in swords. This is sort of an Irish bastard/ Chinese jian hybrid. With the shorter blade and longer hilt I'm hoping to pull the PoB back into the hand for superior control. The finger ring will aid with control. Basically aiming for a lightsaber feel to the sword Like the blade has no presence. For materials I'm thinking mild steel for the guard, pommel, and spacers, and carved wood for the handle. I suck at doing Celtic knotwork so I just lightly sketched in some ideas for the handle and guard, with a photoshopped handle to give an example of what I was thinking. Hopefully I'll get this one made at some point. Attachments:

I love the nightraven and the Irish jian never would have thought of making a sub hilt sword! Very cool

Thanks on both counts. Pretty proud of both of those designs

An evolution of the Irish jian. I think I'm liking this better. It seems almost Conan inspired. Still toying with the knotwork. I'm thinking carved mammoth ivory or horn for the handle grips. Attachments:
