So, as per usual I frequent the sales section at Kult of Athena every other day. My jaw hit the floor when I saw they were running a special on a package deal for the H/T Longsword and H/T Bastard sword. You can get both the fullered and non fullered for 220.00 bucks! Divided up, that is even cheaper then their previous H/T blowout. In my defense, I didn't have a computer for a couple of weeks. I had to borrow a friends computer to post my entry for the SWORD thread.
But I can always appreciate a Doctor Who reference.

Wiwingti is actually prob about the same. He told me shipping on that deal was 50 dollars! I checked on koa and it was only 17. Thats only 237 vs 250. Wiwingti does that though. I like Marc but his shipping prices suck...

Indiana. And yeah that's what I thought as well. He says ts because he drop ships directly from hanwei so it is more expensive or something to that effect, I am kinda iffy on the whole thing because I got second place on a ubc contest and got 40 dollars off a 200 dollar purchase, so I asked about the 2 sword deal and thats how much he quoted me...kinda felt like I got the price of shipping upped on me to cover his losses since he owed me that discount. Maybe I'm wrong but kind of upsetting, because I also have never payed that much for shipping...

Weird...
I know KoA can ship cheaper then Wiwingti because they deal in such large volume they get discounts of their shipping from UPS. I used to work for a Auto Dealership Group as a Shipping/Receiving manager... so I know that if you have a business account the volume of shipping you do has a huge impact on your pricing. So KoA can ship a single sword for 17 while Wiwingti likely has to pay about 20-25... however, if both are being shipping in the same shipment, it should only be a little bit more... 50 would be like if you bought both swords separate and shipped separate... together I would think it should be more like 30 or so.

On the website under where the deal was advertised there was an asterisk saying - all deals ship for $50. Meaning it was $50 wherever you live. I ran into that as well, that's why I went with KOA, much cheaper in the end.

I actually had a friend who was gonna split this with me and he backed out so I'm not doing it anymore am however going to save my prize money for a day when Marc has free shipping on something( or really low shipping)
