Hello all! New member but frequent visiter to the BSG site for info on various blades and happy to communicate with fellow enthusiasts. I wanted to ask a question regarding decorative pieces. Now as with some folks (including me) as a kid/teen in his days may collect some fancier looking knives that sell for way cheaper and are just for decoration on a stand or wall. Now this is all fun and whatnot but in my case my attitude has shifted more towards quality and "the real deal". What can I do with my unwanted decorative knives? I rather not throw them away as they are still neat and undamage, and pawn shops in the Miami, FL area only take in jewelry which is a bummer. Any advice? Please and thank you

Ebay? Maybe try to sell them as a lot. "You are bidding on several stainless steel decorative blades in good condition" blah-blah-blah. Not sure how much shipping would be for something like that. Alternatively you can try to sell them individually on ebay, but I doubt the wall hangers would sell for enough to make it worthwhile.

Yeah I had thought of ebay as well but it is too much trouble, and for some reason local pawn shops aren't the real thing since they just take jewelry.
I was hoping there was some place I can take them to recycle or something of that sort

How about a flea market? My first swords came from one, haha.
Welcome to the forum, by the way! ^^

I made most of my non-functional swords into gifts for people I knew who dug swords or needed costume pieces for RenFaire's and the like... but were not hard core collectors like myself.
