...will learn how to howl.
Just making an intro thread. I started collecting knives when I was around 11, but moved on to swords at about 16. I am currently 19, and reside in the state of Virginia. I am a huge Nintendo fan, and I'm also obsessed with wolves. My favorite type of swords are katana, nodachi and ninjato. I like western swords too, but not quite as much.
Hope to enjoy my time here. See you on the board.
EDIT: I'm sorry, I thought this was the introductions section of the board.

Wolves, eh? You and Sean should get along just fine. As they say, welcome to the club!

I like wolf's fine and am very happy they are being reintroduced to the wild spots the used to roam free. From what a lot of people say it's really great to hear them howling in Yellowstone park again after years of being extinct there. However People have to understand just because they look like our domesticated friends they are WILD animals and should be treated as such,to them we are food no different than deer, rabbit or other food sources. However much I do like wolf's I do have a deturant for them if they ever try to eat me in Atlanta Georgia. Meet 7 ft tall 205 lbs Goliath in the gray coat and his nephew 6ft tall 145lbs Buliwyf in the wheaton coat playing with my wife, both full blooded Irish Wolfhounds  We take them for their long walks on the weekends out in the woods near the river and a beautiful polo field.Quite a few coyotes have been seen out there lately however I dont think I would ever be frightened especially with their 50lb pit bull Hazel backing them up. What a bunch of mommies boys

Was this happen to be a fellow who goes by Lupine_sean or Sean McDonald? I know him from another forum from when I was younger...To think, as vast as the internet is, we would end up on the same board again, haha...I'm just assuming, of course. Could be someone entirely different.

He meant me... My handle being 'Shadowhowler'... I also have a tattoo of a wolf that I designed and drew myself, my father used to raise wolf hybrids and I grew up around wolves... and have a great love for them. Welcome to SBG.

Greetings. Swords and wolves. Hmmm. I bet there's a connection in there somewhere . . . maybe it's that they both have a sharp end. I'm fortunate to live in an area where we see wolves all the time (about 200 miles inland from the southern tip of the Alaska Panhandle.) I saw a big black one a couple of weeks ago with really cool yellow eyes. No place to buy swords up here though. Those we have to import.

Lee's Armoury is up in Wasilla Alaska... but there was a thread just recently about his site being there/not there anymore. I can't find it anymore myself.

CW, Are you in Northern VA? It turns out the Virginia Academy of Fencing offers historical fencing lessons! This means participants get to train with the long sword, rapier, buckler and such. www.vafinc.com/programs/lessons_hist.htm
