I don't normally like folders with that blade shape, but something about that one really piques my interest, Marc. Got a link for it?

Thanks; it's definitely a good looking little folder. However, I'd take the blue one over the silver one.

I was poking around the net for a local supplier of Higonokami blades, no luck unfortunately. Importation is a bit of a nightmare with Australian Customs at the moment with concelable blades. If anyone knows of an Australian retailer I would love to hear it. The main reason for this post is that during my search I came across this little selection from Kanesune www.kanetsune.com.au/main/page_collectors_knives_mai.html that I thought I might share. I'd hate to think what they cost, but there is a fair variety of blade styles and sizes, even an axe. MT

MT, I've been eying Kanetsune's Mai myself, though their Ryou had me at hello: www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store ... ?s=KTKB130 By the way, here's the link to their Hana on KnifeCenter; it's a little shorter than the Mai, but it ought to give you an idea of how much it'd probably cost: www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store ... ?s=KTKB120

MT: I got mine from here www.japaneseknifedirect.com/Specials.html, I had no troubles with customs or concealed weapons, as long as you don't live in victoria you should be fine. I got two for the price of one and they are really nice knives, I should review it at some point

guys guys calm down a little, that mai costs about 1400-1700$ depending ob the place you buy it from. believe me, that thing never went down under 1200$. I know it, because I liked it very much too.... as for the hana, yes, it is roughly the same in blade length, but about everything else in these two are different (steel, lamination, construction of scabbard, handle and so on...) edit: heres a knife center link on kanetsune mai: www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store ... ?s=KTKB101 expensive, isn't it ?

Speaking of knives, I have a bunch of unreviewed ones here (although all together they wouldn't buy a high-end Kanetsune blade ) but I don't know which one to review next... (Next review should be in the next 3-4 days btw) ...So, I will list those knives and I'll let you vote for which one will get reviewed next Here goes ... -Kershaw Skyline folder -Buck Omni hunter, 4'' blade folder -Ka Bar Bobcat Dozier folder -Spyderco Endura 4 folder -Gerber Profile fixed-blade knife -Gerber Big Rock fixed-blade knife -Smith & Wesson H.R.T. dagger boot knife -Ontario Knife Marine Raider Bowie There's also these blades, which I would rather consider as short swords than knives ... -Traditional Filipino Weapons Pinute -Atlanta Cutlery WWII OSS Smatchet -Atlanta Cutlery Texas Bowie Knife I intend to review all of these, but where to start ?

I vote for the TFW Pinute. There's too few reviews on TFWs stuff and I'm quite fond of about a dozen of their blades, so I'd like some reviews.

One at a time until we can see them all or just post some pics or links...I would be super happy with that. Especially the Gerber fixed blades because I found one at a local hardware store that I would like to what it is. It is a Gerber large double edged fixed blade and it is heavy. Any idea?

I say go for the Ka Bar Bobcat Dozier. I've heard mixed things about it, and a review would at least clear some things up.

Awesome! I own the Omni Hunter (the 3 inch one), and I'm interested in hearing what someone else thought of it.

I have never been a big fan of knives and daggers till recently, only trouble is now customs are putting knives on there watch list. So when I saw this one made by an Aussie knife maker I had to pick it up, here are some details and a picture This is a 9 1/4" hidden tang spear point damascus hunter. The blade is ground from a 512 layer raindrop pattern damascus billet. The blade has been mar quenched and tempered to RC 58-60. Australian buffalo horn with a 20,000 year old ice age fossilised mammoth tooth spacer. Blade Length. 4 1/2" Overall Length. 9 1/4" the makers name is Rob Podesta who has a couple of similar knives on Ebay but be quick as I might get another one. Edit. Added another photo of spine Attachments:
