Geez. Too beautiful to touch. That's the problem with h-end customs. There are some of them too nice to use them as they were meant to be. Art objects, not tools.

I have limitations that affect my ability to use my collection so now I just collect them to admire them and to have them. That one is definitely not a work knife though.

Carry it on your side for defensive purposes and the occasional cutting of soft string (to impress all who witness) could be a duty it would excel at. You wouldn't want to sharpen your knife throwing skills with it on a hard dead tree, THATS for sure.

Second one is quite nice. Grats on your purchase. I've been drooling over the second on for a number of years now and plan to purchase its sister in pattern welded steel. Having said that when the first one came up for sale I had to have it. The handle is quite unique and the blade has none of the usual branding on it.

Very nice. I'll have to get my collection posted. Is that a real Laguiole? Made in Laguiole France?

Yes, it's made by "Forge de Laguiole"

That reminds me, I still need to buy a laguiole. At one time, I'd been eyeing up a line from Fontenille de Pataud that featured a lock-back mechanism versus the typical slip-joint. Ran around $150-200 US depending on model, though...

I was going to buy one... a long time ago, before my list of sharp things to buy had even reached it's second volume.

It's funny, everytime I touch it I toot-sweet have a strong appetite for a bottle of red wine, a baguette and french cheese, mes amis.

I don't even have to start the video to know who it is. I've seen a few of those, too, and yes...very appetizing reviews.

Ah yes. I love folding knives... got to get me some more. Right now I've got three Cold Steels, a Leatherman, and an Opinel. I love the old world feel of my Opinel, the raw power of my Cold Steels, and the handiness of my Leatherman. Ah yes, folding knives...

Just bought this beauty, a Baladeo Papagayo. Cheap, but perfect design. Have to buy another one, or perhaps two, this will be my everyday carry. :)

I forgot this thread existed.
Nice little knife. I've been wanting to add a few more to my collection, but everybody wants that "money" thing for them...
