I still think that is an extremely gorgeous sword, Wes, one of Brenno's best, in my opinion. Your friend's really lucky.

Agreed, this is one of my favorite Fable's as well.

Definitely. The only thing that's stopped me from asking Brenno if he can make me one is I believe it's for someone's book, given the text that accompanies it on his site. While I personally would be flattered that someone would want a design from one of my books (I plan to have Brenno make one of my designs), but that's just me and I couldn't speak for someone else. Still, Princess Elysia looks like a nimble sword and I'd love to own it alongside the other near dozen Fable Blades I want.

Well, that... and a total lack of money. I've noticed recently what you want everything but can afford nothing. When in such a state, its best not to pester custom makers until you have cash in pocket.

I can't help it if I have fine taste, no? Maybe it's my fault for joining SBG and being exposed to all sorts of sharpies.
As an aside, I've been in touch with two custom makers about my personal customs and I haven't pestered; I just asked if my ideas were possible for them since I get a little out there with my fantasy designs. I mean, I'd hate to get psyched saving for it to find out it's not something they're capable of.

I think of the sword Needle from 'A Song of Ice and Fire' whenever I see this sword. I'm not a fan of the blade style, but the whole piece just pops. Really great work.

She feels like a needle. Light and quick. The blade is thick and stiff, an excellent thrusting sword and decently sharp as well. I haven't put her through the paces yet because until I'm able to give her to my friend she requested that I treat her gently because "she's a lady!" heh. Can't wait to have everything together for her so I can present her.

Hey Elysia's here! Thanks Wes. She is a style I have long wanted to hit, just simmering below the surface. And after very little discussion I knew that my feelings on the style were in perfect sync with Wes' taste. And this is what I came up with. The story is my own. Wes made a brief suggestion for the theme but I ran off with it Not every story on my site is mine of course. I like offering people the opportunity to name their swords and author a short story about it. I really like handling this style of blade as it does hold a lot of potential. And while small I feel it makes a more useful weapon than a hunkering big blade, and so agile as a thruster that can cut very durably. Just ask Randy who has the slightly butcher version - my first Glamdring, or Sean with 'his' Fox Jian. Both are of a similar ilk. Great fun swords. OT - Vincent and everyone else are always welcome to bounce ideas off me. I'm always up for new ideas and feedback for sword designs. And while Vincent has rapidly dreamed up about a $7K bill, maybe some of the swords will prcolate to the surface even if he doesn't order them. We have talked about a very cool Heron Mark that I wouldn't mind seeing done.

It'd be money well spent, as far as I'm concerned, Brenno!

Nope, not from a book. When designing this sword I asked Brenno to make a petit, feminine sword for a lady. I asked him to write up one of his great stories about it to go along with it and the guidelines I gave him was the princess being the heroine of the story rather than the damsel in distress for once. I would hope that Brenno keeps this as a one-of-a-kind though as that makes it special ^^; Feel free to be inspired for your own creation though

I like the idea of it being one of a kind, too, which is why I'm keeping my two biggest ideas under wraps from everyone but the guys making 'em. Though I will hint that the Caspian/Elysia played a major inspiration for one of my designs.

I really like the pommel and blade on this little sword. Looks like something made for a princess.

Hey, BB. She's a gorgeous little sword. Can't wait to see what DBK does scabbard-wise for her
