John Greybeard, bronze worker. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man. John Greybeard will be that man. Better than he was before. Better...stronger...faster.

Big Thanks A-R, for the good advice and for that sweet vision of the promised land! "18 weeks what replacement ?" Hallelujah!!!
William/Aaron… you guys are too much… I think the surgeon was asking somewhere way below the middle between 6 mil USD and 6 mil Alb Lek - but this is just the start… hahahahahaha
ehhh, yes… this would indeed be relevant to this project, eh? hahahahahahahaha

John,
Thank you for keeping us in the loop about your health.
If they start putting in bionic legs, an arm, and an eye, let us know that too, eh? I want to be the first to market your action figure and movie rights :-) .

Quick and short update - even though I can't get down to the foundry yet - can't/not allowed to drive yet - progress does still continue! This is the bronze for the next (Dave's) Warrior. Going to have to re-cast those langettes, I think… no problem, just a little more work… Edward's will get cast next. Then Sean's.

Well the Bionic Greybeard is back in action! The hard part of recovery seems to have finally gotten on downstream; I’m walking pretty damn good without a cane or anything and pain levels have receded to a tolerable background noise. Biggest problem is the knee swells up like a football if I’m on my feet too long... But best news is that I’ve been able to get a little done on the Warriors! Runes are all carved, and the necessary refining on the blade edges and point is going better than I had expected. So - some photos!!! other side: and I just love this little guy - couldn't help dropping him in here… Last time I showed you the next sword’s bronze just after being poured: Heres that same bronze just separated from the casting tree - obviously still needs some serious TLC, but theres nothing here that won’t fix up real nice… So now that I’m back on my feet - literally - hahahaha - this baby should move right along. And you know I’ll be back here to show you just how its going. Thanks!!!

As soon as you think your knee is swelling, down tools and put your feet up, elevation reduces the swelling and will lower your pain levels.
