Well, here goes a try at sharing my collection with the community. Keep in mind that my photography skills are rudimentary at best, and I can never figure out how to light things so that they show up well. With that in mind here is a look at most of my collection with the exception of a couple of clunkers, axes, knives, maces, polearms, and clubs. My DSA collection so far-15th C. Gothic, Ranger, Guardian, Boromir,Anduril, Grayson,Flame of Angels, and the Sage. I stripped and refinished the grip and scabbard on the Sage, because the white was too much for me, and I wanted it to look like it had been drug around middle earth for an age of man or two. Some Windlass pieces that for one reason or another I just like, and had to have. Italian Bastard, Rheinfelden, Raptor, Heron Mark, 15th C. Longsword, Cassel, Landsknecht War Sword, Irish Hand and a Half(thanks to Violentserenade), Novara. Valiant Signatures, pure sweetness-Kreigschwert, Malatesta, Warder, and on the right end, a custom 304S. Ordered a Templar from Sonny today, so no pics yet. Some Hanwei pieces- H/T Viking, Norman, EMSHS, GSOW, and fullered Bastard, Albrecht2(hand and a Half) , Bastard, and H/T Longsword Hanwei Scottish Lowlander, and Scottish Claymore. After fatecallers epic cutting vid, I just had to have the Lowlander, and every collection needs at least one claymore right? More Hanwei stuff. Yeah, I took full advantage of the Hanwei sale prices and kept it real with Wiwingti deals. Renaissance Side Sword, Miaodao Corn Leaf Saber(thanks to Sebastien), Dark Sentinel, Yang Saber Sinosword Zhanmadao Horse Chopping Saber(Thanks to Szabla), Cold Steel Two Handed Great Sword, Cold Steel Grosse Messer, A custom from Michael Axen, A Pudao from who knows who that is a devastating chopper and scares the bejeebers out of every zombie in my area, Kris Cutlery Barbarian that is an Atlantean copy I am in the process of redoing the grip on. Hanwei Millitary Dadao a solid chunk of destruction, Atrim LPM Two Handed Saber(Thanks Sean, she is a sweetheart) DSA 14th C. two handed sword customized and reprofiled by our own BrotherBanzai( Thanks Jeffrey, this is my legacy sword) Atrim 1520 with Christian Fletchers touch laid upon it(thanks to demonskull), Windlass Italian Falchion, Windlass Sword of St. Michael Falchion, and a Windlass 300 sword because Spartans are so kick azz There you have it so far. OOPS almost forgot, by request and for Enkidu- Sounds like pure hell coming down the road, can outrun zombies, and has multiple attachment points for edged weaponry.

Damn, Chuck. You've got quite a few swords I want. From top to bottom:
Windlass Heron Mark Valiant Armory Kriegschwert and Warder Hanwei Renaissance Side Sword, Dark Sentinel, and Yang Saber
However, I want to ask how the Heron Mark, Darksword Anduril, Hanwei Yang Saber, and Hanwei Military Dadao handle (I've had an eye on the dadao for awhile).

The Heron Mark is real light and responsive but I would be hesitant to try to cut anything substantial with it, ditto the Yang Saber. They are fine on bottles, pool noodles, and maybe a small tatami roll, but they are NOT heavy cutters or choppers. The Anduril is heavy, but not balanced too bad. I like it and have had no problem with the weight or balance, but I have only used it two handed. If you plan to sharpen it yourself, be prepared to spend some time, and definitely read TomK's sharpening tutorial. You will thank me later if you do. Be prepared to put some work in on it to sharpen it! The Hanwei Millitary Dadao? Fugeddaboudit. Line it up and chop it down, that simple. Pure awesome chopping power. It is entirely capable of taking a leg or arm right off, right now

A very impressive collection !!!! That Windlass Rheinfelden must be one of those no-longer-made-swords-but-I´d-be-interested-in-one swords. Looks like a good un. Congrats.

That's what I've heard about the Heron Mark, but I want to get as many opinions about it as possible. As for the Yang Saber, that's actually more than I expected from Hanwei, really, what with their strict 'no cutting' with their Chinese Sword. I can imagine with the Anduril; it's a DSA and they've got a reputation for being bulky beasts. I was mostly curious about it for reference, because Brenno at Fable Blades has a new Anduril design he's got in the wings, just waiting for someone to commission it and I've always liked the look of the Anduril.
One more question about the dadao; does it have any kind of point on it for potential thrusts? I've never handled a dadao in person and I can't tell from pictures, so I want to make sure it can or can't thrust before I screw up by using it improperly in one of my books.

My Anduril balances at 5.5 inches from the cross guard give or take a smidge. It is not unwieldy, but it most definitely has blade presence. The reason that I like the DSA version is because it is pretty close to the Movie version, is functional, and is not priced unreasonably. Brenno has made an Anduril before, and with him you are getting quality steel make no mistake. My minds eye image of what Anduril should look like is unduely influenced by the movie sword though, but that is not to say that Brenno may make one that I simply can't stand not to own The Millitary dadao has a bit of a small point that one could thrust with, the problem lies with how the blade is shaped. from the point rising up to the spine of the blade it increases in thickness quite a bit. Sort of like a ( V ) shape, and I don't believe that you could thrust to the body with it very effectively. Now, a thrust to the throat or neck area with it would be entirely plausible, and in most likelyhood be fatal to the thrustee. A thrust to the body may serve to wound and throw your opponent off balance allowing you to give him a proper chop to the neck area though.

I most certainly agree. I think the movie Anduril was a great looking swords and one of my favorite in the movie (aside from his ranger sword), which, I will admit, initially put me off a bit about Brenno's design, but I like the look of his new design, and I'm pretty sure we could talk him into possibly making the pommel more movie like.
Ah, gotcha. I'd originally had one of my characters wielding it as a temporary weapon and performing a downward hooking thrust (where you thrust down over the enemy's guard), but without much of a point, it wouldn't work all that well. I ended up using the Albion Auxilia Spatha for his temp. weapon instead.
And, before I forget yet again, that is a gorgeous bike!

Thanks man, I really dig it myself. If you have never handled an Atrim Low Polar Moment (LPM) blade, then it is hard to believe. Sean told me it was a feather, and I thought "OK, it is light and handles quick". Once getting it and checking it out, WOW. It is about equal in weight to my H/T Longsword, but this thing is effortless. It literally is a feather in your hand, it has some blade presence, but in the swing it seems to go neutral in your hand. It doesn't require any more force to swing, it doesn't feel vague, it feels like you have an extra 4 foot sharp extension of your arm. Stopping and reversing the blade, Pfffftttttt, it moves as easy as you do. It's really hard to describe, and maybe Sean will pop in and add his impressions, but it literally has to be felt to be believed. Ohh yeah, due to the fullers, this thing has a wicked Swooosssshhh when swung that gives me goose pimples on me nethers

Thanks a bunch fellas, I appreciate the comments.
Yes, I lean to the Medieval side of things, but my tastes vary so much that curvy sharp bits of about any culture catch my eye from time to time.
The bike is the first new one that I've bought. I got tired of blasting around on stripped down hot rods all of the time, and decided to go Geezer Glide and ride in luxury. Getting hit by a car in 05 helped to cool my jets a bit too.

Nice collection, Chuck, tho you could use a gladius. Being an aficionado of Kris Cutlery myself, how do you find the Barbarian sword? I've seen it on ebay but was hesitant as the older KC's don't get much buzz.

I don't have a newer KC to compare it to (something I need to remedy) but going purely off of how it is constructed, I wouldn't be scared to charge into Mount Doom with it. I haven't gotten around to trying to sharpen it either, so I have no indication of heat treat on the blade. All the older KC stuff is from the Phillipines correct? I am in the process of redoing it to give it a bit more distinctive flair.

How do you like the antiqued claymore? I've been eyeing it for a while now, but the only pictures I've seen make it look awfully sketchy...

As far as I know all the KC's are made in the Phillipines. I have several models and am very happy with them. Some say the fittings can be lacking and this may or may not be so depending on the model. At any rate I have found the blades to be very nice.

The grip color on it was hideous, I dyed it to give it an appearance as if it had been handled commeasurate with the overall look of the sword. I haven't cut anything other than bottles, so haven't scuffed the patina on the blade yet, it seems to be fairly durable. Other than that, I really like the sword itself. Visually, it is an appealing sword versus the usual factory fresh look, you just have to do something about the wierd grip color they come with.

The fittings on the Barbarian are really pretty lackluster. They are big and brass, and not much else. The pommel is more Viking looking than anything else, but I like it. The cross guard is honking big, and really rather plain.
I am undecided just what I am going to do with them yet, patinate them and be happy, or try a little file work to give them a bit more visual pop then patinate them.
When I get around to attempting to edge the blade, I will report back on my inpressions as to hardness.
