Some nice swords, Enkidu. That CF 1326 is really spectacular looking and the KC Viking looks like a whole new sword with a different scabbard.

Thanks for the comments,
Yep, the viking is something, the scabbard help a lot for the overall look (which wasnt the case with the one it orginally came with ) in fact i got it ( used lucky me ) only a couple of days after i read Ric's review of it, and he was right on. Its a well made, sturdy good looking sword, just a tad heavy but its a trade i'm willing to make since everything else is perfect.
As for the AT/CF triple fullers it was my first high-end sword and i never regretted the money spent.

Your 1326 is stunning. It looks like a legendary sword from some tale, or the sword of a king from a forgotten realm. Congrats on owning it.
That scabbard with your KC Teutonic elevates that sword several notches up the cool scale. Brian has alot of talent, and it's hard to really tell which compliments the other more, the scabbard or the blade.
Hells fire man, your whole collection is coolness.

Hey Thanks Chuck, Ego Memor was a design i sent to Christian Fletcher based on Angus's 1326 blade ( which is awesome by the way ), and Christian used its magic skills to match exactely ( and even better ) the sketch i sent him. Glad you like it, at least that makes two of us Now i need to see your collection Chuck ! And add a pic of that bike too !

What are your opinions of the CS messer

Hi John. The messer, while not historicaly accurate in construction, shape or balance it is a very servicable blade. Even if i had some issues with mine like a slighty loose cross-gard, a thumb ring placed for lefties ( which could explain the looseness ) and the infamous screw-on pommel ( which doesnt change anything since the grip is riveted to the tang ) it still held up pretty well to anything i've put up in front. Its not by nature a great bottle cutter, but anything a tad beefier gets destroy by it, and i've hit some hard targets with it, not a nick on the blade. The blade is really hard and really sharp. The scabbard does exactely what its supposed to do and the handle is very well made. Like i told you the pommel and the cross are crap but still they look good from a couple of feets away If you have interest for it and you can get it cheap, go for it, you'll have plenty of fun swigning this one around, i sure have anyway. But if you look for a real messer, check for something else

Seriously, about the messer the only complain we keep hearing is the pommel attachment, its threaded and the thread isnt long enough, so it easily falls apart. But since the handle is riveted to the tang there's no chances to get an helicopter of death. On other CS blades i think the big dud is the hand and half, which constantly had bad reports.

Its what i've done, and the only solution, unless you want to significally reduce the handle lenght to pin the pommel. The POB is kinda already far out, so doing this might not help the handling at all. San Marc is doing a customization on one, he might have some insights about this if you decide to go that way.

hehe ! Yrx, Sadly for you there's two things to consider, 1- i'm not about to die and 2-You're not the only one after it... On the positive side... Its really a marvellous sword ! But... it might not be to your liking, i've made some modifications to it since that picture was taken, the pommel is now goldenish and the cross blue/black with some hints of red ( i'm still undecided about leaving the pommel that way of getting it blue/black too ) And when i'll have my garage ( getting a new home in a couple of weeks ) i intend to do some work on the grip... Anyhow.. its still a marvellous sword

What about a "living" will? Then you can send it while you're alive! Haha, oh well. Sword purchases are going to be out of the question for me for a while, I'll have to post pics when the reason arrives in the mail...
