We have been selling a good number of Gen 2 swords and have not had any complaints about bending, so I believe the temper problem is well in the past.
Speaking of Clyde I spoke to him just a short time ago and we discussed new items. He has two new prototypes that are being worked on. I asked if I could review them when they arrived and he said yes! Once the ok is given it would be about another 3 - 4 months for the swords to arrive. So there are new Gen 2 swords coming just a ways down the road.
Imperial Weapons is also preparing to launch their newly revamped website and to kick it off will be giving away a free sword....and who does not want a chance to get a free sword. I will definitely post the link when it is available.
Have not seena new design from Gen 2 in awhile... so I can't wait to see what the new swords will be.
As for durability, I agree with Jason... I have had NOT trouble from my Gen 2 blades, and count them at the top of the 'tough' lader in the 300 price range.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new stuff Gen2 comes up with... and ESPECIALLY the free sword thing.
LOL I've entered so many free sword contests that it HAS to be about my time to win by now. ;D I really want one of those Chaos swords... it just seems like a great sword for destroying anything out there. My FB is probably tougher, but I'd be less likely to risk damaging my precious custom than a production sword. ;D
Alas, for it is just $259 above my budget right now. ;D

I stand corrected; I now know of three shops that offer lifetime warranties...Gen 2, Badger Blades and Albion. I like what I've seen of Gen 2 over all, but find their guards and grips to be too big and clunky looking. Badger Blades...I can't really comment as I have no real experience with them but I trust Sean's judgement on that one; Albion...creme de la creme of the production market. At their prices though, you almost expect that, right? lol

Don't forget Busse and it's sub-companies. They have the BEST guarantee of any company I've seen. "If you damage it, we'll replace it. Period."

mrstabby: Mine gets pressed to the top as well, but that way the tip gets ground of, don't like that either. Unfortunately I'm an edge-perfectionist. Also one wrong move when unsheathing and the throat nicks the edge on either side.

AndiTheBarvarian: Perhaps I've got one from the batch for Matt Easton ?!?

AndiTheBarvarian: When I draw the saber it's automatically pressed with the spine to the scabbard so there's space for the edge to not touch the scabbard. When the false edge starts it's released but can be carefully draw completely without touching the scabbard.

AndiTheBarvarian: Too little gap for a needle, so also I see no way to get the glue in.
Mar 31, 2024 8:02:34 GMT
mrstabby: I was easily able to poke through the glue on all of my Windlass swords/daggers, then it just seems to wick in forever, it never was thick. I can't imagine how there isn't any dulling though, unless yours is less wide or the scabbard is bigger.

AndiTheBarvarian: There's not really an opening on mine, very good fit of guard and blade and some glue or epoxy in it. Since my scabbard doesn't dull the edge too I seem to be on the lucky side with Windlass this time.

mrstabby: Maybe it screams in pain now, but I like it..
Mar 30, 2024 20:35:26 GMT
mrstabby: PSA: Give your Windlass swords some superglue, they appreciate it. My 1796 drank 4g through the opening between guard and blade, now it rings much louder and vibrates much less.

mrstabby: "Sorry Mr. Johnson, I need to store my sword for a few hundread years until someone worthy comes and gets it, mind if I stick it here?"

AndiTheBarvarian: First you have to try getting it into!

mrstabby: What now, pulling a sword out of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson? Intriguing!
Mar 29, 2024 12:49:08 GMT
AndiTheBarvarian: Dwayne Johnson disagrees!
Mar 28, 2024 19:38:14 GMT
rschuch: As anyone who's seen Excalibur knows, getting the sword INTO the rock isn't the problem, it's getting it back out again.
Mar 28, 2024 19:13:13 GMT
durinnmcfurren: Movie turned out better than it had any right to be considering how many times a blade was shoved into rock. Yes, even once would be too much, but it was way more than once.

Ramses1079: Yeah me too, which is a shame because he’s a good author. I guess that’s like when your favorite band releases a new album, and there’s always one or two tracks that you’re like “what were they thinking?”
