After I recieve a Hanwei Saxon already on the way to me and get it a new hilt, I will start saving for a historically accurate Dane axe.

more money to buy swords with and more time off to cut things with them and more SBG/UBC/sword-friendly people near me so I don't have to play alone.

nice stuff by Morrow, never heard of him before. His blades are well known among the Roman reenactment, though quite a number of us are quite content with modified Deepeeka . The ideal Roman gladius (from Augustine to Hadrian period) would be to get a blade from Mark Morrow and scabbard+hilt fittings from Matt Lukes. Be prepare to wait up to two years though

When I first got interested in "real" swords a couple of years ago I was looking for a good gladius. Four fine swords later..... I STILL don't have a gladius, so that's probably next on my list. I don't know which one yet. Suggestions Rick? How much you want to spend? The Albions are really nice but expensive. Yes they are nice! I particularly like the Aquilifer and the Trajan, but dang!.... I don't know if I can justify another Albion in my shop right now with all the money I've spent on less poetic things this year. I'm probably looking at a KC or maybe the Gen2 that Mike reviewed. Eques: I'm not familiar with Morrow but will check him out.

Top of my list right now, are the Cold Steel Grosse Messer, a custom made mace that I have designed, and a custom made sword that I have designed. The Grosse Messer has always caught my eye, not sure why though! I'm not sure where I would go to get a custom mace though. I think I'll probably get the mace before making a sword, if I can find someone to craft it at all. As for the custom sword, I know I have a bit of saving to do until I can afford it, plus a scabbard! Though I'm really looking forward to having them both made when I can scrape the cash together for it

Has been and probably will remain on the top of the list. I guess if I stopped buying all of the other swords I could have bought this already. hey Sparky, what is that? vincentdolan nailed it Albion's Lady Vivamus based on a sword in the book called "Glory Road" by one of my favorite authors Robert A. Heinlein. When I saw the picture of this sword it is exactly as I pictured it in my mind.

Well, as usual I'm not sure I can point out anything specific. But lately, I have been sort of in the mood for something along the lines of a nice Chinese Tang dynasty dao. Also, been considering some kind of western type saber or military sword, but as usual, I find that my taste is so specific that non of the available patterns really suit me. It'd be a compromise one way or another. *sigh* If only I had the money to throw on custom projects. Well, aside from that, I suppose might like one of those Dynasty Forge Manchurian daos. Looks nice.
