I would be narsil, a glorious creation made useless by circumstance, broken into a thousand pieces but even after all the battles and warfare and darkness and years, still sharp enough to cut myself on.

A single handed Viking axe,
I'm a combinations of things weapon and tool, I'm not an expensive man, I can labour all day or just sit on the bench and collect dust, I'm not super pretty but many appreciate my stocky, wholesome appeal. I can hack with the front or bash with the back, I'm not thought of as grand or flashy but often the one turned to when things matter. I'm un-assuming until questions about history are asked and then I can chop at the topic for hours until I'm satisfied. Oh and I follow a Norse path in theological terms. But I got my flaws, I'm never the height of proficiency, style, design or popularity. I'm slow and could use refining and rusty now from years of neglect. Just need some sweat for polish.

I would be a rock. Fist size. Nothing flashy, no glitz, no glamor. Slightly jagged on one end.
... and cracked.

I'd probably be a wakizashi with Irish influences.
Short but sharp

I'd ove to say I'd be a Katana; Sharp and sexy with a loooong handle. But in all honesty, I'd be my old Gerber Gator Folder, always there when needed, sharp and ready to attempt any task, a little chunky around the edges but easy to hold on to. Something you wouldnt forget if you needed to head out the door at a moments notice. And something you'd dearly miss if lost or broken.

Spanish Cup-hilt Set, rapier and Gauche. I'm tall and slim, a lover and a fighter and an artist. Seems to fit a rapier pretty damn well. At the same time, I'm not just about some sissy pokey pokey, I can throw a good cut in too when the need arises which reflects my occasional flash of anger as opposed to calm. And spanish... well, just because. I love me some spanish. And the set because I like a bit of balance to my life. And I like stabbing people with my left hand too.

I'd like to say I'm an axe. People underestimate the axe. They laugh at it being used as a weapon. Until they can't get it out of their ribcage, of course..... Though I do like to think that I might be a longsword. Steeped in history, the weapon of kings, lords, and other powerful and important men Europe-wide. Doesn't look that special, you have to get to know it to see how unique it really is. It's a classy weapon, screaming sophistication and class, but not so much that it wouldn't be willing to do the job it was built for!

I would be a stout little short-sword. The smith had put a lot of time and work into it, which would have been evident while it was still new. However, the owner left it in the rain at some point. Now it'd be rusted and pitted. There would be chips in the edge from mishandling and abuse, deep scratches upon the blade, and the fittings would've lost their shine. Maybe a quillion would be broken off on one side. It'd finally be put up in the attic alone to gather dust.
Uh, theoretically speakin', and some-such.... Yeaaaaah, I haven't exactly been chipper lately, if you couldn't tell.

I think I'd be one of those big, simplistic krigsmessers - the type of sword that kinda wants to be an awesome katana or swiss saber but lacks the refinement, if that makes sense.

I would probably be a Main Gauche, the blade sinister. Something you would see more as a defense but can cut you to the quick because you're not expecting the threat to come from there. I tend to try to solve my problems with subtlety and misdirection but if I have to get into it, its gonna come from an unexpected angle and up close and nasty.

I think I would be something like a well-used and beat up Albion Stamford. The hilt and blade are fairly short, and the lines are a bit of a throw-back to primitive times. There are nicks in the blade and several spots of corrosion stain on the blade and pommel. Overall....durable and serviceable. Reasonably quick and has a good balance. But not much good at having a useful point on occasion...
